This could kill me!
When you approach the age of sixty, you have very likely 'collected' some odd things over your life span. Grandparents (and possibly parents) have already passed on and when you helped clean out their homes/garages/storage buildings you may have kept certain ... 'stuff'.
So what do YOU have around the house that's more dangerous than that extension ladder with the broken rung? Or that Ruger .357 Maximum that the cylinder is out-of-time on and shaves lead into the face of the guy standing next to you at the range? Who ...Me? Well: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1245686485.jpg How about a full, 1/4 lb. bottle of liquid mercury for example? or then there's: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1245686572.jpg half a box of lead-powder ( to be spread on your lawn, according to the label) My wife keeps the lead in the laundry room for some reason? I can't really decide if the weight is actually diminishing over the years ...but my hair is thinning and at times, her meals do have an interesting texture and taste ...hummm.....? |
She keeps that lead arsenate in the laundry room as a reminder to you. Don't piss her off. :)

Reminds me of the good old days...before Nanny Government started protecting us from ourselves. Back when responsible adults were allowed some dangerous, but effective tools.

i had some lead based paint laying around...but to be safe and responsible, i poured it down the nearest sewer drain..safety first.
JUST KIDDING! that mercury photo is pretty good. cool stuff. i played with some in HS chem class. |
Bring back long lasting pesticides? You betcha I would for some purposes...such as termite prevention for treating soil around foundations...Chlordane, properly used, was a valuable tool.
