be honest, have you ever been to a psychic reading?

palms, tarot cards, bird bones, crystal ball...whatever..have you ever been wacky enough to go to a psychic? were they even close? nothing "delicate" about the que, fess up.

me? NO! and i am chinese...big in our culture.

jyl 06-22-2009 05:17 PM

Only after ballet shows.

KevinP73 06-22-2009 05:23 PM

The S/O reads cards as does my sister (astrology actually). I'd say it's 50/50. Sometimes very close and you'd think there was something mystic about them. But IMHO everything is just vague enough that if you try hard enough you can find a way to make it make sense.

Aerkuld 06-22-2009 05:25 PM

I like to turn up just before closing and catch them by surprise.

No. Never.

I could see it going one of two ways: Either being an ass and ruining it for other people, or (more likely) lying and playing along and getting the psychic off on some ridiculous tangent.

Between the Ouija Board and Mattel Magic 8-Ball, I just don't find time to get to my local psychic.

LOL! Thanks. No...I haven't visited a psychic. Driving to the historics once, I passed signs directing psychics to their nearby meeting. I had to ask myself...why would psychics need direction signs?

many many years ago a girl i was trying to ummmm....you get the idea......
anyway her friend did my card reading (it was spot on LOL) and it kinda freaked everyone out....she thought she did it wrong because they "couldn"t believe it".......so did it again and this time they believed the reading what was in fact wrong :D

the devils biggest trick is making people think he doesn't exist......that's the way i saw it anyway LOL
i'm better now :)

I had a neighbor that was a psychic. She'd forget to take her laundry out of the washer (or dryer) every week...

Tobra 06-22-2009 07:17 PM

This woman Deborah, who was Heather's best friend Crimson's mother. Old hippie lady, very arty, had many acres of land, walking paths inlaid with shells and stones, right in front of the front door . House was very much a work in progress.

She did a large, tin-roof addition, with one end of the great room an exterior wall of the original house that is decorated with various shells, river rocks, petrified wood, cemented on there. The bathroom has the surf theme, with a little treasure chest resting on ersatz sand in the corner, mounted fish swimming on a blue background, sort of 3-D. There was a bandstand on one side of this room.

My wife had a "reading" at a sort of party she had when the place was first finished. The medium or psychic was very nice and personable, totally inaccurate. I can't think of anything she got right.

Joeaksa 06-22-2009 08:34 PM

I have had one. It was fairly accurate and I have a tape of it somewhere.

Was going out with a woman who was into this sort of thing. Did it to satisfy her but I already had a fair idea of what it was going to show.

Why would one contribute to the entropy of the human race by participating in this kind of rubbish?

10+

Once when I was dating a chick and trying to, well you know. Anyway she was all into that crap. I put up with it for some fun and it is just amazing how they see the world. No link to reality, just 100% crazy.
