I can't decide if the guy in the photo is riff raff or a wino.

Is that a belt sticking out from under your shirt or are you just happy about the sign?

I agree; it's DEFINITELY the PPOT bar, because the apostrophes are in the wrong place.

With the dwindling supply of apostrophes, I hate seeing signs like that.

Two more; used for no reason.

An apostrophe is a terrible thing to waste.

Maybe Cindy did...she the digital photog here. What I hoped for happened....the apostrophes...I'm thinking the mistake was purposeful.

Newport, Oregon...a bayfront bar there. Do NOT go to Newport from Corvallis Oregon...heavy construction that looks like it'll be going on for years. Long line of traffic after the construction zone, a huge motor home clogging up the twisties, with no way to pass.

Ahhh, but the return trip was heaven. From Waldport to Corvallis, the old Alsea highway. It was as if the car Gods were smiling upon me. Very little traffic, and the road was clear through my favorite section of little digger mountain. A series of (marked) 20 mph switchbacks.

Hey guys, a Bullitt Mustang carves corners damned well. Just a warning. Or...maybe a hint that you should drive one?

Could be. I heard of a guy in a rural dirt road area near a lake that changed the sign on the roof of his store from "Fishing Tackle" to "FISHING TICKLE".
He said his business tripled immediately.

People stopped to tell him about the sign, then, while they were there...

Think that works for a bar?

Sure...it's a short drive on Hwy 20 from Corvallis, home of Oregon State, to Newport. Think of all the college folks who wandered in to tell them of the "mistake", then decided to have a beer, or more likely, a glass of wine.
