Could you PNW boys please open a can of good weather ?

I'm almost on my way and I didn't sign up for 13°C and rain.

You can tell when it's summer in the Pacific Northwest. The rain gets warmer than it is in November.

Moses 06-25-2009 09:32 AM

Eugene, Oregon should be sunny and warm all week.

pwd72s 06-25-2009 09:36 AM

Don't bet on it. I'm about 40 miles North of Eugene...high clouds & cool. Could be a shower or two in the works.

Just find a nice big girl with furry legs to curl up with. They're not hard to find.

GH85Carrera 06-25-2009 10:40 AM

Just think of it as 55 degrees Fahrenheit. That sounds a lot warmer that 13 C.

Warm weather you're after??? 105 deg. In Austin today. I'd give my eye teeth for 13 deg and rain.

Yeah, Houston is setting record after record. Yesterday was the hottest June day ever. Except, we may exceed that today...

104 F at IAH yesterday

In Houston, we normally do not exceed 100 F. Yeah we get the humidity, but not that much in the temp. The Humidity is rising today, so I expect that we're going to have a fall off in the temp, a little.

I'm not sure where you are, but it's warm and dry enough here that I've only had the top on twice in the last month or so.

I just looked at the weather in Tofino and Whistler these past days. Looked pretty dreadful. Will be making a circle: Seattle, Victoria, Tofino, Whistler and back to Seattle via Semiahmoo and Lake Cle Elum.

teenerted1 06-25-2009 12:51 PM

well you will be going thru at least 3 different climate zones on that trip, maybe 4.
everything is relative. weather here is probably what you are used to in belgium. only difference i we have hillls out here. :) the next few days here in seattle supposed fo be pretty good.

I have been up to Portland about four times in the past two months and the weather hasn't been that bad.

And that is coming from a native So Cal guy.

I tease the locals that they should subsidies my air fare because I bring the sunshine with me.

Kris - Glad we could help out with the weather. I've been swimming 3 times this week at the pool on Lake Cle Elum. 90 degrees yesterday.......Heaven

john70t 07-03-2009 09:29 PM

The weather has been extremely cool and wet in Michigan this year (it was in the 90's last year).
Over the last week the tomatoes grew about two feet. No complaints here.

Global warming/change has to do with overall global patterns of wind/ocean currents being altered, so local/regional effects will vary.

Crepitus 07-03-2009 10:41 PM

Yep tis always pourin rain and 20* full gail on the calm days, steep n narrow roads, up hill both ways. just no reason to move here. Move along, nothing more to see, move along.
