No More Static?

So our august moderator has become conspicuous in his absence.

What happened?

This place is a lot smaller without him IMO.

javadog 06-25-2009 03:16 PM

Well, he's currently logged in to this forum....

Maybe he's trying to see how long he can go without posting.

Like closing your eyes while you're driving and seeing how high you can count.

Zeke 06-25-2009 03:22 PM

He just closed a tasteless thread that I thought should have been removed. There's still time.

gtc 06-25-2009 03:22 PM

There's an easy way to test it. Someone needs to go over to the Chest thread and post up some bewbs.

That might be more up to Z-man. The Z has the power to ban as does Wayne.

MikeSid 06-25-2009 03:38 PM

Kick off your high heeled sneakers, it's party time!

gtc 06-25-2009 03:39 PM

Whoops... brainfart... you're right.

the 06-25-2009 04:07 PM

I've noticed he hasn't been posting as much.

Like a lot of others who have slowed down or stopped altogether.

Motion, kstar, and some others, I was thinking about how they are gone. The problem is, they aren't replaced with similar quality.

It really is jumping the shark this time.

Zeke 06-25-2009 04:32 PM

What is "jumping the shark"? I get a definition of going over the top to increase ratings, or attention grabbing by extreme means.

How do you mean your statement? Just wanting to know, no tricks.

Shaun @ Tru6 06-25-2009 04:35 PM

It's summer.

Does not mean anything. If I leave the computer turned on and connected to the internet with the PP OT forum opened up, it shows that I am logged on.

I could be in Hong Kong or Moscow but the computer at home makes it appear that I am there and online.

sammyg2 06-25-2009 05:49 PM

Even incognito he's a poopy head ;)

"The phrase has been used more recently outside the realm of popular culture, representing anything that has reached its peak and has declined in quality."

It comes from the episode of Happy Days when the Fonz jumped over a shark on water skis in his leather jacket. That episode was consider by most to be the turning point in that show's popularity. After that episode everything went downhill and the show was eventually ended. Now, anything that has reached it's greatest point and is now on the decline is considered to have "jumped the shark".

porsche4life 06-26-2009 07:13 AM

It's summer. He has a kid. They are probably off playing at the range or surfing or something. 911Rob doesn't post right now either. They will both be back. I promise.

m21sniper 06-26-2009 07:46 AM

Hey Nostatic, you out there?

Then I totally agree, PPOT has jumped the shark and is now a sewer and an embarrassment to Wayne and his business.

Not only that, but the server seems to be constipated most of the time.

tchanson 06-26-2009 09:31 AM

I'm guessing Todd is on the road, washing Donald Fagen's socks.

Tim,

I flew Donald and his wife last time several years ago, and he didn't look so good. I thought I saw he passed.

Yes, I do realize, Todd could still be washing S.D. socks.

He's still alive and touring...

Gogar 06-26-2009 01:19 PM

Perhaps he found something more valuable and rewarding to do with his time. I sure wish I could.

speeder 06-26-2009 01:20 PM

I think that reports of his demise are greatly exaggerated. At least I hope so...
