I'm consistently .031x Not bad for an old man.

lowyder993s 06-28-2009 04:08 PM

.031x??? My best .078...said faster than a speeding bullet. most .34xx

Zeke 06-28-2009 04:14 PM

Sorry, decimal in wrong place.

10 more tries and I got .299, or "faster than a speeding bullet" like you. But, an .07? You musta guessed that one! Play fair. ;)

tomphot 06-28-2009 04:29 PM

I would think a .07 would get a red light - best was a .29 - average was .34-.36

LeeH 06-28-2009 04:34 PM

Most at .203, but got a .187 and .188.

As it says on the instructions, using the keyboard resulted in faster times.

tomphot 06-28-2009 04:37 PM

Maybe I'll try tomorrow before the first beer.

Jims5543 06-28-2009 04:38 PM

0.20x consistently.

lowest was 0.19x.

43 years old.

TimT 06-28-2009 05:54 PM

That 1 was a flyer, hit it accidentally...correctly. Got plenty of "Red light, put it on the trailer"

During the summers between my college years I returned to my home town and worked in the plywood mill. I mostly pulled green chain. Veneer green chain. The 'chain' goes by at the rate of 4.5 feet per second. With one hand you grab the trailing edge of the veneer sheet or strip and flip it to your other hand, where you guide it into a stack. Sometimes you have to turn stuff over and inspect, decide and pull. Quickly.

By the end of the summer, the entire world was moving in slow motion. I'd be having beers with the guys and someone would knock a bottle off the table. I remember watching the bottle fall, thinking about whether I wanted to catch it before it hit the floor, deciding to go ahead and catch it, then reaching casually down and grabbing it before it hit. Remember that game where you try to slap the top of the other guy's hand? Yeah.......I would have been delighted to play that game for money.

I'm getting avg 0.25 sec. Best so far 0.219. W/ K/B.

My first time, I thought the background was supposed to change to green, then change to another color, so I waited and waited. Got close to a minute. Duh.

Edit - did it some more. Now best 0.203. Avg has come down a little. Can't get <0.200 after ~30 tries, I guess that's my limit.

pwd72s 06-29-2009 09:24 AM

Don't think I'll go to the strip...:(

My keyboard is wireless as is my mouse. Any effects?

Paul, there are other "trees" on the Net. Us old guys would probably be bracket racing where the 3 yellow lights descend at .500 second each and the green comes on in the same cadence. Once you practice that one a few times, you can get close to a perfect light.

As I posted awhile back, I do that on the micro wave all the time. It's something to do while waiting for whatever is inside. ;)

Yep, the Xmas tree...that's what it was when I took my old Goat to the woodburn strip.
