Exciting summer of movies coming up
Haven't seen any buzz on these (are they being promoed in the theaters?). Lots of interesting/exotic/low budget films coming soon, alongside the mega-movies. Everything is apocalyptic...social comment?
9 http://www.apple.com/trailers/focus_features/9/ Tim Burton getting back to his roots? Avatar http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0499549/ Another James Cameron tour de force, a 3 hour, 3-D epic. Moon http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony/moon/ One man, one computer, and the Moon. The Road http://www.apple.com/trailers/weinstein/theroad/ Based on the book, the trailer doesn't look so good ![]() What else is sneaking up, under the radar? Any interesting indie films?

"Avatar" will be good along with "The Hurt Locker" and the Coen Bros. "A Serious Man" (but I don't think it will be released til Oct.). I'm looking forward to this one "It Might Get Loud" coming out August 14th...

I forget the release date, but Surrogates is definitely not a typical Disney movie. We released it under our Touchstone label.

Oh Hugh, I hate to say this but I am cutting the DI for Surrogates right now and it's really kind of flat. It needs to be shortened but I don't think it will. Oh well, we will have to wait and see how the previews go.
BTW where did you shoot the building in the film that is a central high rise and has smaller buildings connected to it in a sort of star shaped flying buttress? Michael
