Ya know, I thought about it, my Lewis gun on top is setup to shoot using propane and oxygen mix, Make a run and touch it off and watch then all hit the deck and drop their beers and joints, that would have been fun!!

A low pass (if you have small "N" numbers) would have been fun!

social misfits congregating annually

How did hippies get so many cars? Aren't they supposed to travel in buses? Either greyhound or VW?

Geeze! How did I miss this! Do you think I could get with you about flying sometime? I have a lot of questions as a newbie thinking about taking up the hobby. PM me if you wouldn't mind and we'll see about meeting up sometime.
Great Pics BTW! My Brother-in-Law went to that. He told me about it when he was telling me he wanted a VW bus with a pop up roof to camp in...

Were you out today? I was out for a ride (on my R12s) and saw a bi-plane around 2:30pm today around the Jenison area. Can't be too many around.
The area around Rothbury is a zoo--it's not really set up for that kind of traffic so you avoid it like the plague (unless you're into that scene, which I'm not).......

You got the Lewis .303 firing over the arch? Truly a weapon of mass destruction. I'll forgive Hispano Suiza having a Boch name for powering such a superlative flying machine.
I read "Flying Aces of WWI" when I was in 6th grade and the lore of the first Kights of the Air has stayed with me ever since. My son seems to have inherited the disease. He says Mick Mannock was blind in one eye and had to lie to get into the RAF to fly one of those things. If he did, it did't slow him down much. If ever the chance came to fly in such a machine came to me, you can be sure I wouldn't turn it down, regardles of the festival it was flying over. Congrats of a great day of flying!

Craig,
I do not remember ever seeing your airplane before! VERY COOL IMHO!!! I always thought it would be nice to have one of those early planes to mess around with!

Man...that sure is a LOT of cars. Where the heck are all the people? Figuring maybe 2 for each vehicle, the crowd must've been ENORMOUS. Doesn't look like enough open ground down there to hold 'em all.
Cool plane, by the way.

Hispano Suiza is not a German name (Boche), it is a Spanish name and company that became a Spanish-French company (in 1923) and the a totally French company.
