In response to an off duty Houston cop who had a suspect die while trying to arrest him outside a bar:

No one would make movies about our modern crooks. If you hemmed up John Dilinger, you wouldn't see him curled up like a pill bug crying to see the jail nurse, sagging his britches, and begging to be a floor worker. And he certainly wouldn't drop dead when he got cuffed up or manhandled.
