Edit time limits?

Anyone having difficulty editing their older posts?

I started two new threads this eve and I get the edit option when I open them up, no problema.

Trying to go to some of my older threads to edit and I do not get the edit option. Anyone else notice this?

Yes, I think the edit option has been changed. It's frustrating, but it's good psychology. Makes you think harder before you spew some junk into the interweb.

Oh man I wish I could edit this. Oh wait, I just did. It think maybe it is a month.

Makes editing "for sale" threads super efficient though:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I usually edit items as "sold" on my first post so people doing searches don't have to browse an entire thread just to find out an item is gone.

Makes price changes hard as well.

Send Wayne an email. If it's possible, he will make it better. He's very receptive to stuff like that.

I asked Wayne about this in June. He changed things so you can't edit your initial post. It's a pain. He has a reason, but I forgot what he said.

I used to "edit" old posts all the time so that I could get the links to embedded pictures.

You can do the same thing by quoting the post, copying the links, then cancel the quote.

It appears that you can't edit anything more than a month old now. It's been at least a couple of months since it was changed, I think.

I just edited my post from yesterday. Maybe you're right that it's a month.

It makes managing & un-cluttering for-sale threads much easier. Wayne, please consider reverting to the prior settings. Thanks :)
