Frontline, Advantix Anything Better?

With four dogs and a cat this stuff COST and doesent last long. Anything better or the same for le$$?

Based on what I've been told, there's nothing better than those two. It costs a lot, but it really works. Frontline lasts a month on my dog.

I read Advantix is better because it repels mosquitoes.

Our dogs are on a product called Comfortus. It's an oral med that is taken once a month and works great. We are overly cautious as one of our dogs went into sudden liver failure (for no known reason) years ago and we constantly monitor him. Both his internist and regular vet approved the use and we have seen no negative side effects.

Be careful of the cheap stuff. Lots of animals have been hurt or died from some of it.

Yes, I have heard some horror stories. Going to look into Comfortus.
Thanks

We used Revolution many years ago with good results. It's a topical that protects against heart worms as well as fleas, ticks and other. It also works well with cats. After that we used interceptor, again, no complaints. Since, we've moved on to Sintenel.

A feed store most likely has all the stuff you need if you plan to orally inject medicine, but be careful on the dosage if you choose that route.

I use one... I think Advantix... on my cats and it works great. Only have to use it once a year but my cats spend most of their time indoors. Hard to do that with dogs I know.
