Captain Hand?

Actually the answer is much simpler than all the above..................... that tactic is used to 'create' or 'instill' a 'sense' of 'urgency' to the potential customer. One of the first rules of sales. Don't even think about it...there's not enough time you must buy before ...insert something here................

Nope, it was still Capt. Hook. The accident was just a bizarre coincidence! :p

Why do you eat bacon with your fingers, but sausage with a fork? It's all pork! And bacon is just as greasy as sausage. Why not just pick up the sausage and eat it. Link, patty, doesn't matter. Even ham could be eaten by picking it up, once the precedence has been set by the bacon.

You know I bet there is a simple and logical answer to this.

$$$

I bet some engineer working for a company that mass produced toilet seats for bulk orders thought they could save 5 cents worth of plastic on every seat witout loosing any of the functionality by leaving oout a bit of the seat you're never going to sit on.

That would be my guess.

There is never going to be a logical answer to something involving women. :D

Man. I doan know. The u-shape toilet seat shape should be pretty obvious. So should the first question in this thread.

There are plenty of sales techniques: friendship(RonaldsMcd or the busty waitress), bait and upgrade(50cent coffee, 5 dollar pie), confusion(big, echos, lots of signs), envy(your friend bought one), and panic.

The nearest Costo forces shoppers through three(3) high-speed, heavy traffic, roundabouts in a row. Miss a turn and there's no way to get to the parking lot.
Perhaps the mall designers/city thought that shoppers would be so "juiced up" after multiple near collisions that they will purchase more.
It works, but just short term thinking as people will adapt over time.
