Been flying here for a while... anyone interested in starting a squad???

Aces High II, runs $15. a month... fun as all get out, very addicting....

We don't need to have a hard core chain of command, just a Pelican Squad we can fly under... when you land kills it will show "Porsche4life lands 3 kills in a p51d of The Pelican Pyros" for example....

They do offer a free 2 week trial... can't join a squad during this time.... but you can fly with a mouse... I would suggest getting a cheap Saitek stick from wally world or Best buy for about $20. bucks.... also you will need a mic so us guys could communicate with each other....

Hmm well I have a Logitech stick for Flight Sim X already. It will be about a month before I have internet good enough for something like this though. Guess I will practice my barrel rolls in that time frame.

Oh my Laptop has a mic built in...

You can download the game and practice flying offline... one of our best pilots from my old squad actually flew with a mouse for years... he would fly off his laptop w/ wi-fi available to him while he was in Iraq...

Ya I think I will log some flight time in a fighter on Flight sim. Once I get my super fast internet at the new place I can do some online gaming.

FWIW a good friend of mine has been flying on AH for YEARS!!! He spends more time there than TABS does here ;-)

The graphics are not all that bad and the response time is not so bad. The game can be played from many different connection types. A dial up modem can compete as an equal with a cable modem due to the built in delays and the fact these planes are turbo props.
