J. Todt for Pres.

Probably a good move, he can't be any worse than Max.

Yes he can. He's Max' hand-picked choice for Prez. I prefer no traces of the Max "Spanky" Mosley F1 Reign of Terror.

Jean wouldn't be anything like Max. I think he'd get the job done. The guy is a workaholic.

His biggest problem would be people assuming he'd favor Ferrari. I think he has more integrity than that but the internet and the media would have a field day with him.

The other candidate for the job, Ari Vatanen said this:
"On the contrary, Jean Todt represents the old era, and it's not right that Max wants to impose a new leader, and that he uses the power of the federation to support his campaign. The FIA is not a kingdom; it's a republic where the leaders are chosen democratically."

The former World Champion also revealed that Ferrari do not want Todt to take Mosley's job, fearing that it would raise too many questions about bias and impartiality.

"At Ferrari they don't want Todt to be president, and so they have told me, because they think they sport would lose credibility. The same would happen if it was Ross Brawn or Flavio Briatore running. The president of the FIA must be someone neutral."

Mosely publicly endorsing Todt wasn't the wisest of PR moves.

I agree that Todt's credibility is compromised due to his relationship with Ferrari. However, I wouldn't mind seeing Todt's wife, Michele Yeoh, on the starting grid more often.

You mean the attraction to Todt.

Personality
Connections
$$
Nice car to drive to the market
Large and various villas throughout the world
Maximum clothes budget
Her own espresso machine
Work optional
Her mom can move in
Complimentary pit passes and VIP food service
Many occasions to wear leather and boa feathers in one of several red cars

I suspect she'll tire quickly of the ordeal.

Vatanen please. I think Todt wouldn't bring anything new to the table and his bias for Ferrari is something the sport doesn't need. And this is coming from someone who likes Ferrari.

Course I am biased since Vatanen is one of my country-men.

Sorry but the last frigging thing we need is another Max. Todt is Max's buttboy and we do not need anymore of this jerk.

Ari Vatanen has my vote. We need fresh blood in the F1 community.

More from Ari . . . he is hard-selling . . .
"The big, big majority of people involved in the FIA are not happy with the current state of affairs," he said in an interview with Italy's 422race.com.

"FIA is not in a very good health," Vatanen, who has criticised the way in which Todt has been positioned as Mosley's natural heir, added.

He believes the former Ferrari boss is being favoured.

"Jean goes with a private plane with his girlfriend, supposedly as a FIA representative, to various parts of the world," said Vatanen.

"In fact, he is doing a campaign totally supported and paid of FIA," he added."

Let's hope he can overcome Todt's 'advantage' if it really is that. Who knows? To the FIA voters, Mosley's blessing might be the kiss of death.

Or perhaps a simple spanking.
