Dueller and BT's most EXCELLENT adventure...Barber Motorsports Park
It was time to do something for Jimmy. My buddy BT called and asked if I wanted to make the 200 mile trek to Barber MP on Saturday to watch practice, qualifying and support races for the Rolex race today. He's aware I needed a little diversion of late as am I, so I said "SURE."
Plans were to leave about 6:30 a.m. for the 3 hour drive. And come back in the afternoon because he had a date that nite. The tool for this little road trip? His 12,000 mile '06 S55 AMG Benz. Now we're talking. A 150+ mph 5500 lb luxo super car to rack up the 400 total miles in total comfort at warp speed. He arrived bright and early as the sun greeted a beautiful and unseasonably cool summer day. Not a cloud in the sky. He had purchased tickets/corral parking and paddock passes online the night before. They'd be waiting for us at "will call." I slid into the beautiful camel collored passenger seat to the smell of supple leather. A cold bottled water was sweating in my cup holder. BT was grinning mischieviously. It was going to be a great road trip. Dayum....I have some good friends. Pics and the rest of the story to come.
