1. Sell car you cannot afford to maintain
2. Buy a car you can afford to maintain.

Why do people lack so much of common sense?

That ebay ad has my BS meter totally pegged.

The whole thing just stinks to high heaven.

Guy (or girl) probably lives in Southeast Asia, picked up the pix off the internet, set up a PO box in North America.

I bought a house, and I lived in it for a couple of days, then I had to leave for a few months on a family thing, but when I came back, there were notices in the mailbox saying that if I didn't give the utility companies some money, than they would disconnect me, and I wouldn't have power or light or cable or broadband or a phone!! And the neighbors were yelling at me because the lawn was overgrown! And my windows need cleaning, and I need my cupboard filled with food, too.

Please send me money via PayPal so that I can continue to have my house.

Or tell me what I did wrong and why my utilities and my lawn have failed me. It's not my fault.

This is exactly why I sold my 951, I realized that I really couldn't afford it.

I will get another sports car eventually, but I will do so with more realistic expectations next time.

According to a guy called Torontoworker on that forum "DON'T click on link. It's a cloking site! I have removed the link for safety reasons. It redirected to jbrlsr.com and grabs cookies. Virus alarm! Did a check and it appears to spoof the ebay page. Did not come from Ontario - looks to be from Bosnia at this point - still checking."

Just passing this on, no actual proof

Who knows, it might work. When I had an office in Brentwood there was this guy who walked up and down San Vicente near Barrington hawking his poems. $1.00 ready-made or, for $5.00, he would do a personal poem just for you.

At least you got something for your donation.

The original link was a referrer to ebay.ca from some other site - I removed that referral link and just posted the ebay link, so it's perfectly safe.

donation sent.

rnln 07-20-2009 04:28 PM

I am curious what you donated him? :D

widgeon13 07-20-2009 04:50 PM

The guys an idiot, he bought a car he can't afford and now he wants someone else to help pay the bills, sounds like this should be in PARF.

Gogar 07-20-2009 05:03 PM

Actually, I'm organizing a benefit in my community for new tires for my SC. When the tire store sold me the tires, they made NO mention that the tires would be absolutely worthless just a few years later. I have emailed the Bridgestone company many times about this defect.

mattdavis11 07-20-2009 05:04 PM

Gogar, donation sent.

Socialized car ownership, is it a Canadian thing?

mattdavis11 07-20-2009 05:52 PM

Hey, at least it's not socialized manufacturer ownership. It could be worse, you know, like in the good ole US of A.

Noah930 07-20-2009 08:45 PM

Wow, Matt, you're a very generous and considerate guy. Wanna donate to my hookers and blow collection?

Tidybuoy 07-20-2009 08:51 PM
