I never had to log in to read the story.
I have to agree that Toyota's offerings are pretty dull as of late. I'm still yearning to drop that 5 valve 170hp black top into my 85 MR2. That ought to be plenty fast. ![]()

I had an MR2 MKII a couple of years before I got my Porsche. It was a really run car and had great looks to boot!
The MKIII's aren't as practical, as there is literally no luggage space. MKI's and MKII's had 2 trunks. Small, but workable for a weekend getaway. That said, an MKIII would be an ideal commuter car. Then again, the prices on 986's are at or below the prices of MKIII's. And the Boxster is a better car. -Z
