Professor Gates is famous for his studies of the Black experience in America. He is a chaired prof. at Harvard and has his own Institute there. The Academic Cheese does not get any bigger than that.

It is a terrible advertisement for Cambridge, its police dept. and by extension the whole country. Too bad, as we were just basking in the warm foreign affairs glow of Obamaism.
