I heard there were big waves so I got in the Vanagon and drove down the hill to Doheney to take some pictures, not much, 2-3 feet and a lot of people so I turned around and came back home. Driving 45 in a 40 and saw a black speck comming up behind me real fast, he was in my lane and all of a sudden he was there, a black Neon, swerved around to my left at maybe 90 when a car pulled out up ahead, they had seen me but not the jerk behind me, they stopped in time, didn't even get into the jerks lane but he flipped them off as he flew by.
Shortly, a silver SUV came speeding by and caught up to the Neon. I thought Road Rage, or Race. There was a red light and the Neon rear ended a white Honda, the guy in the Honda waved at the guy in the Neon and pulled out of traffic to the side of the road, the Neon looked like he was pulling over but then the traffic opened up and he took off.
Since I had my camera I started taking pictures of him, his plate, the silver SUV, the guy he hit, now the SUV was chasing the Neon. I am plodding along in the Vanagon. The next light was red and the Neon got into the left turn lane trying to get away, the SUV right behind him and then me taking pictures. The white Honda pulled up beside the Neon, Lots of yelling.
Just then a Sherrif came around the corner towards us, with his window down, I yelled at him, the SUV driver was yelling at him, he had to go a block to turn around and the light turned green. By then there was a lot of yelling and the Neon pulled over after the turn, as did the SUV and the Honda, no need for me because all I had was pictures after the fact so I drove by and turned into the Shopping center, came around and saw everyone out of the cars very agitated.
Made another loop and saw two cop cars there and everyone yelling, made another loop just in time to see this bright orange haired kid from the Neon get grabbed, handcuffed and stuffed into the back of the car. This was great, I didn't have to get involved, went home and opened a beer. There is justice.
