Possibly Forum Scammer? XTN901

Not sure where to post this, so thought i would post it here...

XTN901

Emailed me about my 911 for sale.. says he in mexico / texas which matches his profile on here...

He wanted to send me a check for the car, then have car picked up when check cleared, no big deal.. But then he asked for a copy of my drivers license to prove that i am a real person.. of course i declined...

Well he said he next day'd a check to me.. well i never got it.. kept calling / texting / emailing him to let him know i never got the check.

Then Monday, he said check got returned to him because " no one was available for delivery " of the Next day check... so then he asked me for my banking information to " wire " me the money.....

I did talk to him on the phone and maybe im wrong and he is legit but he was asking all the wrong questions and asking for personal information that scammers ask for to steal your identity or simply rip you off....

SO buyer beware..

XTN901 - screen name on here.
Email: xtn901@gmail.com
Name on email - Chris Courtney

I did talk to him on the phone.. but he was short with me and always wanted to call me back, only to send me an email....

Maybe im wrong, if so... sorry Chris.. but the deal just didnt feel right so i would like to let everyone else be aware who is selling a car....

If this needs to be moved to another forum or deleted, i understand..

Sounds like a scam to me. Hell, sounds weak, like it's some idiot high school kid trying out something he read about on the internet.

One way to NOT get you bank account tapped? Open a new account...only $20 in it. IF he's legit and wires the money? Then put the money in your regular account, close the account used for wire transfer...

He actually has 3 different logins...
XTN901
XTN911
XTN

Different e-mails, different locations, different phone numbers...same name.

281-905-6738 is a Houston number, from his most recent "incarnation".

It's possible that he's a flake, and keeps forgetting logins, or that he's recently expanded with a shop here in town, or any number of things...

I didn't see any case where he made an offer to someone, it was accepted, and the transaction went though.

He sent me a message through the email system on this website, because you can post in the for sale of a car thread section ( which i LOVE by the way , keeps it less cluttered )

His first email said " I want to buy your 911, call me " and listed his phone number

The email user name was simply XTN when he messaged me last week.

I searched XTN and found XTN901 or 911 or what ever in the search results.
