Any Ideas for a Weed Whacker Engine?
Our Son is relentless in his pursuit of attaching the weed whacker motor to his skateboard or one of his bikes. Do guys have any ideas? Sources for plans/parts?
Thanks. |
Assume gas powered or you cornered the market on extension cords.
Personally I'd get a 5 gallon drink cooler from Lowes and combine them for a portable Margarita/frozen libation machine. But that's just me. |

I have an old chain saw engine sitting on my work bench right now. I ran out of time, but I intended to mount it to my mountain bike to take in the plane with me to Oshkosh this coming week. I was just going to build a knurled friction roller to attach to the engine output shaft along with an outer support bearing. I then was going to spring load and hinge the whole affair so that I could raise it off the tire when "pedaling" past the local law enforcement.

As a good son he could make something that his loving Dad could use.
Here is a hint. Note rev counter on last pic. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1248457819.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1248457841.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1248457856.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1248457875.jpg This unit has provided many years of faithful service.;) |
