I'm going to share a few pics from my recent PNW trip

Most will have seen these sites already but just in case....

************************************************** ****************

Many moons ago (prior to internet) I visited Sproat Lake on Vancouver Island. I was so impressed by the two waterbombers that I wanted to return ever since.
Two weeks ago we were again sitting by the lake, kids playing in the water, mam and dad reading a book.
No sign of the plane until it suddenly came roaring a few 100 yards to our right. I was excited that I nearly wetted myself (for the record I am no aerosexual ). Barely managed to grab my camera and shoot the below (soso) pics.

Some more
************************************************** **************************

I never expected to find so many nicely preserved samples of pre-WW1 military defences around th Puget Sound. I only visited Fort Flagler, Fort Casey
seems even better (you can click on the battery names to get pictures).
Fort Casey is certainly on my list of sites to visit next trip.
A few pics.

I should probably talk to someone about it....
