G-man it sucks when the work-place career plans are changed by forces outside your control. You need a vacation. I suggest you go visit the king grouch Rick and kick some munchkins.

Good Friday morning!

Damn, lost my fan strap and engine oilcooler...
I hope this day ends soon.

Porsche-poor 09-09-2011 10:30 AM

if your luck is like mine they will turn up right after you order replacements.

Unscheduled trip to Germany may happen Sunday. Mom called to let me know her sister passed today. Kind of a real bummer, but at the same time, a good thing.

Porsche-poor 09-09-2011 10:52 AM

Bummer. Not ever a happy thing. Give her a hug.

Geronimo '74 09-09-2011 10:52 AM

Sorry to hear about the aunt passing

If you stay for a month or maybe a little longer, we can still meet up....

Apparently, I'm in the market for a Porsche Boxster soon.
My new function does not come with the company car. (I will get a compensation for not having the car anymore. They will give me a higher net salary instead.)
Cheaper Boxsters (non S), with 50K to 60K miles on the clock go for 15K euro's, I'll be looking into those some more...

Porsche-poor 09-09-2011 10:53 AM

See things are looking up. Now buy the Box and think up reasons to be late for work aka new roads to use.

Geronimo '74 09-09-2011 10:57 AM

That's not going to go down well at the office...
I live only ten minutes away... How lost can you get in minutes in your own home town?....

Porsche-poor 09-09-2011 11:04 AM

get one with navigation and trust it..................
tell it to avoid certain parts, make all left turns..........
Just have fun with it.

RKDinOKC 09-09-2011 01:00 PM

I'm 52 now so I can start claiming Alzheimers for getting lost on the way to work. And it is just down the hall in my own house.

Porsche-poor 09-09-2011 01:20 PM

you got up to get the mail, got side tracked on the way there going past the kitchen which led to the need to get something out of the garage once there the project caused you to need a beer so back to the kitchen you went only to find no beer causing the need to road trip to the store only the keys are not where you left them so its time to build a board with hooks on it for the keys........................you never made it to the mail box.

Should I go on..............

GH85Carrera 09-09-2011 02:16 PM

About time to head for the house for the weekend.

Tomorrow I meet up with my El Camino buddies. Sunday is the Porsche club autocross.

Hey Sid are you going to come autocross with us again?

Porsche-poor 09-09-2011 02:23 PM

Porsche-poor 09-09-2011 03:53 PM

if it won't we might have to take away the "well set up" title.

porsche4life 09-09-2011 05:01 PM

It fired right up, and I stormed to both ends of our roads promptly. The brakes still grab nice. I'll put it on the lift after dinner and check everything.
