Night guys. Have to get up and pretend to work.............

Hey my Dad would like this one. It has Katy Perry in it. :)

I like the sounds of both of those bands. Most of the people around campus that blast music blast vulgar rap noise so I am glad it is not that.

I prefer a little more high-energy stuff than Carbon Leaf and Alpha Rev but maybe I just did not listen to enough of the songs.

porsche4life 10-30-2011 08:31 PM

They are good to have in the mix. I will usually throw them on in the evening when I am just sitting around relaxing. I have two airport expresses in my apartment, so I can pull up music on my phone or MacBook and stream it wirelessly over the speakers in my livingroom, or bedroom, or both.

Yes, there are times when I would want something more mellow. Some Jethro Tull songs are good for that.

Flieger 10-30-2011 08:42 PM

Here's one of my favorites.

Markus might like it too. :)

Some of the carbon lead stuff has a jethro Tull sound...

I think I just put in more hours studying the last few days, than my entire HS and college days. I really thought I was done back then! :D

I had forgot about this reasonable picture of me until some (expletives deleted) creep got all up in my grill earlier today in another thread.

Nice thing about being short is I can fit in a Lotus, at least with the top off.

Are there differential equations on the pilot test?

slodave 10-30-2011 09:11 PM

Yup. Physics is involved. Especially when trying to figure out where CG is going to end up when loading fuel, baggage, pax...

Flieger 10-30-2011 09:11 PM

Sweet, bring 'em on. I hope they are linear. Unless I can use MATLAB. Then I could take on most anything.

slodave 10-30-2011 09:14 PM

The problems are not as complex as you are probably used to seeing though.

Flieger 10-30-2011 09:14 PM

Hey, did anyone notice the redecorating Wayne did on the home page? That must be the reason for the server slowdown earlier.

Is it the kind where you just guess e^st and solve for s?

slodave 10-30-2011 09:15 PM

One of the basic ones...

That's not a differential equation, that is just a statics problem.

Now, if you wanted an equation for the deflection of the beam and had some material properties, I could do that. That is a differential equation.

Flieger 10-30-2011 09:19 PM

I like the spring-mass-damper ones.

mxdoubledot plus cxdot plus kx equals F*sine(omega*time+phi)

Vibrations is the reason they invented the greek alphabet.

But I find it really cool stuff since that's what's going on in the suspension of your car.
