Yes, someone is paying me. :) It's what I do for a living. :D

How is it that I have missed that?! You are a computer wizard, Dave?

I blame my broken language.

slodave 11-11-2011 11:38 PM

Yeah, right!

Wizard, no.. :)

How many hours do you get? Broken up repeatedly?

It's now 23.40.. I usually go to bed between 1.30 and 2.30. Sometimes I am lucky and fall right asleep, but usually wake up 2-3 hours later. After that, sleep is very short and I toss and turn. Other times, I toss and turn for the duration of the night into the morning, eventually falling asleep. But that screws up the day.

Went to downtown Austin today. I just don't understand what all this "occupy" stuff is about. Just looks like a bunch of protesters with nothing to protest but the right to protest.

When do you have to get up in the morning?

In total you get what, 3-5 hours sleep a night?

porsche4life 11-11-2011 11:46 PM

Dave will appreciate this...

I usually try and schedule things as late in the morning, to afternoon as I can. ;)

My biggest problem, is my mind. It starts racing when I close my eyes. I can't turn it off.

RKDinOKC 11-11-2011 11:55 PM

Trick is to always get up at the same time. May take a couple of weeks, but you will sleep at night.

Sounds like a comfortable schedule. I wish I could do that. :)

I know the feeling. Always happens to me too when I have a lot on mind, stressed and nervous.

I suppose you have tried sleeping pills in all available forms, doses and colors?

RKDinOKC 11-11-2011 11:57 PM

In the past. Most made me either hallucinate or I never fell asleep and had to get up groggy and pissed - in both cases.. 30mg of melatonin does nothing.

livi 11-12-2011 12:10 AM

Zopiclon?
Zolpidem?
Propiomazin?
Klometiazol?

slodave 11-12-2011 12:15 AM

No. And not going there.

svandamme 11-12-2011 01:47 AM

Beer?
Whiskey?

Beer?

Rick V 11-12-2011 01:54 AM

Baseball bat?

svandamme 11-12-2011 01:55 AM

How about a 12 gauge with a bean bag, right in the solar plexus ?

slodave 11-12-2011 01:58 AM

That's the odd thing with the FAA... Most prescriptions are a nono, but alcohol... As long as it's 8 hours from the bottle to the throttle.

Rick V 11-12-2011 01:58 AM

Frying pan to the noggin? Oh wait that is for us married bastards. :(
