Good morning fella's. Beautiful fall weekend here in the Burgh'. Off to work down in the Ghetto again here . Enjoy your day. I am going to take some video of our adventure in a blown out vacant city house for your enjoyment a little later this am.

Well that was a nice surprise, found a broken vac line going to the front actuator on Peggy. We are back in full redneck mode once again. :) Too bad Dodge vac lines are only good for 25 years. :(

pete3799 11-13-2011 07:15 AM

Didn't think a 86 had a vac actuator on them.
Maybe my 86 does but i don't remember.

I am about to head out to the autocross. The weather looks great. 75 degrees and mostly clear.

Vac line runs to the switch on the transfer case then out to the actuator on the front axle, then back to the switch and off to atmosphere.

Sitting in a parking lot in el Reno. Truck tossed the air compressor belt for the second time in about 60 miles. Luckily we got it into a parking lot. Only had one spare.

Rick V 11-13-2011 08:12 AM

Sounds Like a fun way to spend a sunday...

GH85Carrera 11-13-2011 11:45 AM

The autocross has a massive turnout. I think 50 cars. We wiil be lucky to get 4 runs each before dark.

Found a mower belt that would work. Got it limped home.

Now you get to figure out why the truck is chucking belts. Bwahahahahaha I may work in a big truck shop but I will be damned if I will work on them.

porsche4life 11-13-2011 01:12 PM

Its an issue with the '91 Dt466 trucks according to the guy that built the motor 2yrs ago. It shelled all the belts and got hot. It took him about 3 tries to get the belts to stay on the new motor. He didn't have a problem getting the '84 or the '92 to keep belts. He says another customer has the same issue with a '91.

Just sucks, dad is in the process of making a deal to trade this truck for an '01...

GH85Carrera 11-13-2011 02:58 PM

Autocross got done. We had to cut it back to just 6 runs each. The weather was nice for it. 54 cars is just too many.
