i hate it actually. i totally agree that the sensors should be replaced in pairs. if this doesn't work, straight off, i will replace the other one immediately. so far, so good, however.

what i find odd is that the emissions testing ONLY includes the computer. they do not even use the sniffer to see what the actual emissions are. it seems that it would be a piece of cake to make something to fool the computer with voltages and such, or to program the computer to simply lie.

They have 02 sensor "foolers" used when you remove the rears from an OBDII vehicle. Might be an option

nynor 11-20-2011 04:28 PM

seriously?! such an item is marketed?

Rick V 11-20-2011 04:31 PM

Uh huh, but not legal for sale in Ca or NY. (or any other state for that matter)

Howdy guys.

I am real tired and sore.

My engine swap is progressing. The old engine is out.

vas930 11-20-2011 04:47 PM

Howdy.

nynor 11-20-2011 05:17 PM

hey, vas.

glen, engine swaps are work.

i am going to have to look up these o2 sensor foolers. i don't want 'em, just amazed.

Sid, my demands aren't quite so rhythmic. These idiots not only don't even go to court when they get sued, they don't even file an answer. It'll be a pain in the ass and a long wait, but at the end, it'll pay off and I'll have made my point.

nynor 11-20-2011 05:22 PM

wow. you'd think this would be illegal!

Glen, back in the day my nephew and I did an engine swap on a 80's full size chevy blazer. Well, actually it was a GMC Jimmy, same thing.

Started on a Thursday after work and drove it to the muffler shop to have the new exhaust made to match the headers on Sunday afternoon. Don't remember why we had Friday off. It was my only ride so had to get it done to drive to work on Monday.

Saturday afternoon while bolting the starter back in, one of the last under the car items...while my mind was turning the wrench my hand and arm just stopped, then dropped the wrench almost hitting myself in the face. My wrench turning muscles had fatigued out.

On two occasions I have done a clutch job on a 914 by myself in one weekend. Compete remove the engine and transmission, clutch job the replace engine and transmission.

100% by myself. I was younger then.

It has been a long weekend. The wife is sick, its cold out, lots of homework from the the kids. I can't wait to go back to work.

Hey sid I have a few Itunes questions for you. Do they come in mp3 format? If so once purchased as mp3 can they be used on a non Ipod device? Lastly can AC/DC and the Beatles be found on Itunes?
