Better than that to happen on the road in traffic. That guy should have a VW Polo.

porsche4life 11-24-2011 11:22 PM

Looked to me like he was pussy footing the car around, and then punched it for the straight and that V8 torque reared its ugly head...

slodave 11-24-2011 11:23 PM

More like, who is the idiot that didn't make that slalom with a pointer cone up front, forcing you to enter in a way that would have had you spin away from the curb at the end.

porsche4life 11-24-2011 11:24 PM

true, but when you bury the throttle in a car like that, you have to be ready for that to happen...

livi 11-24-2011 11:27 PM

Drivers error. Thats what happen when you have not learned how to fluff the throttle.

vas930 11-24-2011 11:27 PM

Howdy.

livi 11-24-2011 11:27 PM

Vas!

porsche4life 11-24-2011 11:27 PM

Thats right doc, the driver needed a good fluff...

It actually looks like he did gun it at the last slalom, but the finish straight seems to be offset to the left slightly and he nudged the steering wheel to the left and the back came around.

Also seems to be a bad track setup at that point with the curb there.

porsche4life 11-24-2011 11:30 PM

Yes, seems to be stupidity all around...

Just makes us thankful to not have to autocross around curbs and lightpoles...

Markus
Sid
Dave.

Looks to me like he missed the brake pedal and foot slipped over to the throttle.

Flieger 11-24-2011 11:32 PM

I was just saying that that is what the driver was thinking. "Ouch! Who put that curb there?" (after all the sailor talk has been edited out).

livi 11-24-2011 11:32 PM

I still think he should have a VW..

slodave 11-24-2011 11:32 PM

Vas.

Nite guys. Going to the LA Autoshow tomorrow. Hope Porsche has a cool historic car like they have for the past few years.

Wonder what that new Subaru BRZ will be like?
