Not a fan of posting pics of myself,Dave.
However I can say it was ugly. ;)

That was pointless! :D You're supposed to show the result!

Flieger 12-01-2011 11:20 PM

I think Vas' suggestion is the best way. Just suck it up and ask her if she'd like to go out for coffee or some other similar thing. Worst that can happen is she says no and you have to face her forevermore when you visit that shop. ;)

A few years back I had hair down to my ass and a beard.
Living in the forest.
If I can get a pic scanned I will post it.
I think I have one pic of that time.

OK, I need to get some rest for tomorrow. Last day of classes! Finals on Monday and Wednesday, but going to watch some club racing Saturday.

Night.

Ehh, there are other shops in town. All three of the major players do tons of business with us, I spread out where I buy fuel, but I always go to this one to get a drink. They have cheap fountain drinks, and hire the cutest help...

vas930 12-01-2011 11:23 PM

Loving the Becks, Dave.

porsche4life 12-01-2011 11:23 PM

Night. Next week is dead week for me till wednesday, final on thursday, and then the rest of my finals are the next monday through wednesday.

slodave 12-01-2011 11:23 PM

What forest? There's no forest in Oz! And see! it may not have been the opal mines, but I knew it! Did you live in a cool tree house?? :D

porsche4life 12-01-2011 11:23 PM

Night guys, I'm going to lay down and read...

Well, Dave it was a shed in the bush.
I made a home inside.
It had no insulation and no heating apart from a wood fire.
It had a wood oven from the 50s.
Always out cutting wood to survive.
I lived in that place for ten years.
7 when working and the last 3 after I stopped working.
The last thee was in isolation.
Hardly left the place in those last tree years.
Best thing ever, came out clear.
You would not believe those three years in that place. :)

944's are chitty at handbrake turns, cause the handbrake is on the left...

So you are short of hands to make it happen, unless you find a way to yank the handbrake with the left,
while holding the steering wheel in the right hand and then ultra fast changeover
so you got your left on the steering wheel and the right on the shifter knob to downshift.

You gotta downshift after a handbrake turn, cause you lost all the Rear wheel speed with the handbrake...

It was the only real grief i had with the 944 design.. In the snow or gravel you can sort of work around it by simply engine braking and heavy clutch work.. (prolly wear too).

RKDinOKC 12-01-2011 11:45 PM

We have a religious organization here in OKC that uses and treats employees like dirt in the name of their "God of Guilt." It's called Feed The Children. People have tried to go up against them, but they just chalk it up as being persecuted, act the martyr, and keep on treating people like dirt.

Like Vas says, you are just wasting your own life on those kinds of people.

RKDinOKC 12-01-2011 11:48 PM

Yep, left hand ebrakes suck. Clutch popping is also a standard drift tool though. A little more difficult to master, and a littler harder on the mechanicals, but doable.

svandamme 12-01-2011 11:50 PM

The handbrake on Bimforce-1 is so weak, that it's unusable for HBrake turns anyway..
good thing i was used to the workaround from the 944 years.
