Ooooooh purty!

RKDinOKC 02-06-2012 04:05 PM

Okay so here are my GTS repair options...

Local valve repair and stock cams, 280 rwhp. dyno proven.
Custom valve/intake tune and stock cams, 295 rwhp. dyno proven.
Local valve repair and GT cams, 325 rwhp. dyno proven.
Custom valve/intake tune and GT cams, 340 rwhp. dyno proven.
Custom valve/intake tune, valve springs, and Stage2 cams, 380 rwhp. speculation.

Custom valve/intake tune means sending the head and intake off to a guy that does "his" valve grind and lightweight valves that flow best, and port matches and balances the intake and heads.

GT cams are more aggressive than stock, but were offered as a 15hp adder from factory on the 5.0 liter 928 GT. The 5.4 liter GTS has detuned cams compared to the factory GT cams.

The Stage2 cams are custom grind billet cams with a more aggressive grind than the GT cams, but still street able, which means they don't lope at idle. They are more aggressive enough that they require heavier valve springs.
