I really need to go ahead and add one of those to my collection.

more like 654 USD... You have to keep in mind these are imported guns
They have to be transported, gotten through customs, importer needs a marging, shop needs a margin..

Y'all pay more for EU made weapons than i would... it is the way it works..

Rick V 03-03-2012 04:26 PM

I think my next one is going to be a .17

svandamme 03-03-2012 04:32 PM

that be really tiny Rick.

Rick V 03-03-2012 04:32 PM

Dude, they are tack drivers. I mean long range tack drivers

svandamme 03-03-2012 04:39 PM

define long range, most reports i read say 17 HMR runs out of oomph at 250 yards. at 300 yards it has 800 fps (that's air rifle speed) left and hardly any energy.

Nynor, I love those old SSs that'll probably end up being my next bike, great style, great sound and the price on em these days is very attractive.

nynor 03-03-2012 07:29 PM

mine is wicked loud. i must admit, i do prefer the look of the earlier SS, but one of main requirements when i bought it was that the bike MUST have fuel injection. i cannot tell you how many hours i spent messing about with carbs on the old triumph.

porsche4life 03-03-2012 07:36 PM

Hmm, I don't wanna deal with carbs again....

Noah930 03-03-2012 07:42 PM

Have to admit the FI on the 888 is nicer than the carbs on the 900 SS. Not that it's cold much here in SoCal, but it's nice to hop onto the 888, set the "choke" (that's what it's labeled, though I understand it's not really a choke in the traditional sense of the word), thumb the starter and go. On the 900 SS, the choke really is a choke, and you need a couple minutes of fiddling with it before you can ride off (smoothly at least). On the injected bike, the throttle response is noticably quicker. With the carb'd bike, you open the throttle and can imagine those air molecules getting vacuumed into the intakes, atomizing the fuel before, you feel the thrust. Maybe a little exaggeration there, but there is a seat-of-the-pants difference.

Internet at the house is down. Dad fell asleep so I am using his iPad. I love the 3G...

Should probably be studying.

Politics and Religion Forum...

azzarule 03-03-2012 11:55 PM

thanks Sid. It is a place I would never go, just don't want to start arguing over those topics, not worth the aggravation.

porsche4life 03-03-2012 11:56 PM

That's a good plan. Arguing over there is just wasted breath anyways.

azzarule 03-03-2012 11:59 PM

so what are you up to? it is Sunday night here, just finished dinner, thinking of having an after dinner baileys and biscotti, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnddddddddddd
it is not raining, first time for bluddy days. I can even see some blue sky, well clear sky as it is almost dusk.

porsche4life 03-04-2012 12:01 AM

3 am on Saturday night here. Been watching entourage, headed to bed soon. My sleep schedule is totally effed.

A drink would be nice though...

azzarule 03-04-2012 12:06 AM

started watching entourage in thebeginning, but lost interest after a couple of episodes. Certainly wouldn't stay up till 3am to watch it :-( Sid, you really need to get to bed and have a good sleep.
