Evening guys....
|
There is no 4G anywhere commercially.
|
My iphone says 4g on it....
|
Mine says AT&T SUCKS. Again, there is no 4G, period. The 4S does not have a chip to be able to receive 4G. Apple programmed that in the latest iOS. You are getting something like HDMA+ or something. Everyone that has upgraded to iOS5.1 is complaining about the slower speeds.
|
Just saying, thats what my phone says on it...
|
And I'm just saying you areas not g wetting 4G. I just explained why it says 4G.
|
Why the debbie downer?

Howdy D...

when you say "no 4g anywhere commercially", are you saying that 4g doesn't exist for the consumer? as in, the cell phone companies are FOS?

i know you guys don't brew beer, but i did something interesting:
i might have mentioned that i started some hard cider. knowing that apple juice doesn't have the nutrients and such that the yeast require, i boiled a couple of tablespoons of bakers yeast in cup or so of water and added that to the fermenter. the brewer's yeast fermented five gallons of apple juice, completely, before the next morning. i am amazed. i thought i had a stuck ferment, because i never saw the airlock when it was bubbling actively. i didn't come up with this little trick, but it is the first time i've tried it. |

My tests went well. I ended up not studying. Read the Racecar Engineering on Saturday then spent the rainy/cloudy Sunday messing around with Solidworks. I ended up making a wheel resembling a Fuchs for no real reason other than I wanted a wheel for my model suspension. |
evening all. been a long day.

D, they are selling it as 4G, but it is 4Glte. The fine print says this as well.
Each company has been developing its own brand of 4G, but true 4G does not exist yet. When Apple released iOS5.1, they changed the symbol on the phone and opened up a different type of "4G" for the 4S. A lot of people are complaining that this switch, which was supposed to be faster than 3G, but is actually slower. Probably won't see real 4G until the next release of the iPhone (and other companies). |
this confuses me. is it still 3g? is there a difference between 3g and "4glte"?
|
It's basically between 3G and 4G.
