i just checked...the wreckage still hasnt been found.
|
That's not good.
|
it's amazing to me, with today's technology that aircraft can still be lost out in the wilderness. then again, the impact forces generally leave little remains to be found...
|
have you been to any of the plane wrecks up in the san gabriels? there's a couple of them not far from wrightwood...big prop plane wreckage that has been sitting up there for decades.

Did he actually crash or just disappear? An RV, land on a dirt road out there. Waiting rig has tools, take the wings off, pack it away and drive off into the sunset. Hmm...

just had to go to the police office to show my new shooter.
There is something surreal about walking in there with a Main Battle Rifle, and be welcomed with a smile.. when all my youth the fuzz was after my skin for all sorts crap i used to pull. Now i walk in there, up to their office.. i go ,excuse me while i whip this out.. And they go.."ooooh, niiiiiice. can i hold it?" sure thing pal, *rack the op rod, show the empty chamber* here you go! followed by a "heavy, well greased up... NOOOISss!" |
Didja all take pix? Gangsta poses?

from the NTSB report: "According to recorded radar tracking data, it appears that the pilot turned off his transponder about one minute after takeoff, as all radar data after 0821 was primary data with no altitude information. The primary track continued to the northwest for about nine minutes, with the last positive radar hit being at 36 degrees, 10.22 minutes North by 122 degrees, 16.36 minutes West." |
I read the link and the last line is:
""The National Transportation Safety Board determines the probable cause(s) of this accident as follows: The aircraft is missing and the cause of the accident is undetermined." " That's what makes me question it. :) |

But, the desert does have a way of swallowing up things. Who knows, until something is found. |

The same theory was said of Steve Fossett, but in the end, it was poor judgement and a mountain that got him.
Maybe one day we will find out. :D |
Interesting.. we have had a string of car jacks , and heavy burglaries the last month.
Well organized gangs, suposedly arab speaking , coming from the North of France.. They have been moving closer and closer and go for BMW's and other fancy fast cars. Day before yesterday, they were 10 clicks out last night they were 2 clicks out Though i probably won't get a visit , i have a simple looking row house as opposed to a villa. That would make for a bunch of surprised thugs.. "Say hello to mah little friend !!!" Think i'll load me some more ammo over the weekend anyway.. There is no such thing as being to prepared. |
