what's the word at work, rick?
|
Coffee is brewing, cylinders are loaded, safety has been knocked off, and the bosses computer has the Va. Labor laws regarding wage reduction up for him. Just waiting for him to show up.
In other words my ducks are in a row. I do step correctly when I have the time to maintain a level head. |
lesson i'm busy learning right now
A I hate tiling B i suck at it C It's going to look halfassed, and it's a good thing i don't have a wife/GF to nag me about it the next 10 years. |

How about next friday evening? Make sure to have cat litterbox stuff around, it will inevitably get messy And big plastic tubs to put the parts in |

will you be spending the night here?? It's gonna be a long evening if you don't. I'll be home at about 4 PM, depending on the weather and traffic. What time do you think you can be here? Lookie here, my jackstands are maxed out, does this look high enough to get the engine out from under?? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1262435213.jpg |

Setting the front back on the ground will help too, but that just makes it harder to get the job done |
remove front wheels, drop the nose, that will lift the backend
it might be a close call if you don't remove the rear valance, although without the fan, i think it might work nose down is less of a problem for removal then it is for putting it back in there Worse case, you bang the gear selecter rod on the opening it sits in.. and bust up the seal...cheap and easy enough fix though...ask me how i know.. But either way, as your picture shows, not high enough. either way, your rear wheels must be well clear of the ground to be good.... then you remove em to have room to work. Did you already remove the axles from the tranny? And no, not going to stay over, i intend to high speed it back home when there's no traffic and not much 5.0 on the road. |

Jim I want your car
|

Morning boys. At a PCA breakfast. Hooray.
|
Okay Jim, I'll let you have my wife, and her Boxster and you can keep your wife. I just want your car. :)
The Boss is taking my request under advisement. Good thing I make too big of a lump to stuff under a rug. :) |

Litterbox grit is great stuff to clean up oil puddles
|
Ok,
i need to raise the rear some more. Probably will get some blocks to put under the jackstands. One thing I did not disconnect yet is the oil line going in the side of the case. Spanners not big enough.... Fan is still in place because I don't have the curved pulley tooley. Will try and borrow that sometime this week. Stijn, it's a bit silly that you come for just the drop and then have to leave already.... No boozing afterwards.... If Friday is your only possibility, then it'll have to do, I guess. At least stay for diner then. (axles from tranny: check!) (did break two bolts holding the anti roll bar. The ones clamping the bushings to the bottom of the car, one on each side... grrrr) |
