Dave, congrats again on pushing yourself to take / pass the pilot's exam.

Thanks, Jim. Time to get in the air this week. I got over the biggest hurdle, now two small ones to go.

Thanks Rick, I noticed. As one of the guys here (Seahawk?) says, it's air you can wear.

I talked to Paul yesterday, he is nothing more than a teenager. :D

Jim, why don't you ever send a PM while you are over this way?

Jim Richards 05-07-2012 02:28 AM

I dunno, Dave, I'm a slacker. I guess I need to start connecting in person with you SoCal guys. SmileWavy.

Rick, that's funny.

Wow, I had no idea he was that old. He was one of the many German speakers we had in the days of War Bonnet Tech. Tony Lapine and I slammed beers one night. I learned to never try to keep up with a German drinking beer. I could barley walk back to my room at the hotel.

He was a great guy. RIP Tony.

Good morning folks.

The humidity has been very hight here over the weekend. A front came in last night and it is a lot cooler. Hopefully it will get rid of some of the humidity.

I hate Mondays too, Rick.

So you are alive?

No death by Snu Snu so far. :D

Porsche-poor 05-07-2012 06:09 AM

morning all. Time to go deal with computers and the lack of an IT dept......

GH85Carrera 05-07-2012 06:20 AM

The good news is without an IT department you can often get a lot more done. :)

We had one client that was trying to get a file from us. Their IT department had everything so locked down it was impossible. The client grabbed his personal laptop and went across the street to McDonalds and download the file. It took him six months to get his IT department to put us on a list of approved providers so we could send a file to his IT department and they could send it to the end user.

Sid, that is about right as long as it in not Starbucks burned-tasting $7 a cup garbage.

When we went to Parade in Portland OR. Starbucks was sponsoring some events. In the hospitality room they had a big table set up. Free coffee drew me in. Some cute chick handed me a cup of coffee that I took one sip of and it stopped me cold. I tossed it right into a big trash can and noticed it was half full of cups of coffee. I had to drive to a Burger King to get some coffee.

porsche4life 05-07-2012 09:30 AM

Glen, that was a cup of Eight O Clock coffee, made in my Chemex.

GH85Carrera 05-07-2012 09:35 AM

Never heard of Eight O Clock. It has to be better than Starbucks :)
