It's Bad, no set day yet. He wants to drive it a little. Supposedly to make sure everything is good and no leaks. I think he just wants to drive it. Not many 928s have 400hp.

Rick V 05-12-2012 05:17 AM

:(

RKDinOKC 05-12-2012 05:39 AM

Sorry, F1 qualifying is on SPEED.

Morning boys, off to the airport.

Rick V 05-12-2012 06:46 AM

Check and see if the pilot has a pony tail. :D

Richard you need to convince him you need your car back for the Hooters car show on Saturday and the autocross on Sunday.

Wow. So exciting. It's like watching Sid go off to summer camp. SmileWavy

Have a good trip!

Noah, don't get all excited. It was Rick's doing... not this nurse's doing. :)

And Rick, you are technically correct. Nurse's week still goes on! I probably won't live this down either but it is so funny and technically, correct. One of my friends posted it on her FB walls. Enjoy your last day of Nurse's week, fellas...

Rick, I just read your story on the drinker to alcoholic thread. I just want to say I am proud of you. You don't know how much you did for your family when you made the decision to stay dry. Big hugs and love to you. No matter how bad you pick on me, I don't think I can get mad at you now. Read my story on that thread...

First real trip out this spring with the 911 and she ran fine.

Just got back from a nice trip into the Blue Ridge Mountains. Beth and I ran up to a place called The Blue Ridge Pig for the best home made BBQ on the planet

If you get mad at me you are lacking the thick skin that is required for the internet.

Talked to mechanic at noon. Has it all back together and running except for the hood. Says it is loping and hunting at idle, needs the chips tuned for the new cams. And that all the other cam upgrades he has done did the same until tuned. Still wants to drive it to heat cycle a bunch to make darned sure there are no leaks.

Porsche-poor 05-12-2012 01:54 PM

Rick, Tweeze, read both stories. Good for both of you.

Rick V 05-12-2012 01:59 PM

The biggest aid in a person becoming an alcoholic is having an enabling partner. Like Tweeze said the alcoholic has to want to stop or it will never happen. For me it was rock bottom and there is more to my story about the last night but I shall spare you the details, other than to say, rock bottom is not a good place and I can see how people die when they hit it.

You may need some new rear meets when you get the car back Richard
