D, I can see on the beach.

I'm not. I like the sights, and that is all. I need mountains

Thats why I live in the hills, overlooking the sea.

Yup, all that salt air that dries everything out
sand in places you didn't even know you had
Things in the water that you don't know are there until they taste you
Oh yeah love me some beach:D

nynor 05-29-2012 02:46 PM

chicken.

Rick V 05-29-2012 02:50 PM

Naw I just am not a fan (unless it is covered with hot womens)

I agree about the beach Rick. I lived in Hawaii long enough to get my fill of sand and beaches. We used to go spend a week at Bellows AFS and we had a cabin right on the beach. After a week there is sand in everything, even the food. The waves were fun to play in as a kid, but I am over that.

nynor 05-29-2012 03:10 PM

i could live on the beach. in fact, i did just that for two weeks. i loved it.

Rick V 05-29-2012 03:11 PM

Beth would move back to Hawaii in a heartbeat. She spent the summer before last there with Devon and loved it. I am glad it is very very expensive, keeps her off that idea. :)

nynor 05-29-2012 03:13 PM

hawaii is ridiculously expensive. i did a phone interview for a position on hawaii (big island). what they were offering was not going to work, financially, given the cost of living there.

Rick V 05-29-2012 03:15 PM

Well everything is imported except pineapples and Hawaiians

Rick V 05-29-2012 03:16 PM

My youngest grandson was born there so he can own land, My wife wants to have him buy us a place. (hold your breath woman)

I love the beach. I love Hawaii. I would love to live there. Looked into it. Nynor, did you look for contracted work? They are always looking for nurses I know. They say they can't find good clinical people on the island. Then they pay for housing. You get to live a short one in Hawaii. Win-win. Was thinking of doing it over a summer while my boys are out of school. :)

Porsche-poor 05-29-2012 03:35 PM

We did the HI thing last year for spring break. It was fun but not sure I want to live there.

Outback Porsche 05-29-2012 04:01 PM

Hawaii = spam, yes? ....Blah...;)

Jim Richards 05-29-2012 04:04 PM

Mmmm, spam.

Rick V 05-29-2012 04:04 PM

Oh please don't open the whole nasty spam debate

GH85Carrera 05-29-2012 04:25 PM

I lived in Hawaii two different times. I was there when it became a state. I went to first grade there. I walked to school in shorts, no shirt, no shoes, 1st grade! I can't claim to have had to walk through the deep snow. :)

We were there from 1959 to 1963 and from 1968 to 1971. We played tourist and went back in 2000. My wife had never been there.
