Set my cable box to remind to watch lemans.... :D

Flieger 06-15-2012 04:16 PM

Is that track finished yet? Last I saw it was still dirt. But I haven't been following progress actively.

We are installing timing towers in the next three weeks... They are paving now... At some point we will be putting video screens over the grandstands too...

Meaningless unless you can get us tix.

porsche4life 06-15-2012 04:21 PM

I doubt I can get you tix... But I may be able to get a tech pass to be at the race, a team of us there as a JIC anything hiccups.... Gotta keep uncle bernie happy ya know....

Noah930 06-15-2012 04:22 PM

But can you get some of us Stijn brethren tech passes?

porsche4life 06-15-2012 04:23 PM

You boys know anything about fixing electronic displays or the software that runs them?

Flieger 06-15-2012 04:26 PM

No, but I have an extensive set of hammers.

porsche4life 06-15-2012 04:27 PM

Keep that damn hammer away from my display!

Noah930 06-15-2012 04:27 PM

Wouldn't be a problem if you used Lexan. ;)

porsche4life 06-15-2012 04:31 PM

Dude..... none of that will be clear plastic..... We use aluminum for the cabinets, and the led modules are mostly a tough polycarb(lexan) made to withstand a good hailstorm...

Oh and a bit of silicone so we can do this...

Dig the blue gravel at the bottom of the tank. You should add some fish next time.

porsche4life 06-15-2012 04:38 PM

We do at tradeshows.... Mostly because our competitors try to claim its ionized water....

Noah930 06-15-2012 04:39 PM

Ah, so you've bred fish that are able to live in ionized water. How clever.

porsche4life 06-15-2012 04:41 PM

We've got really crafty engineers that have made REALLY realistic looking robot goldfish... ;)

Noah930 06-15-2012 04:44 PM

Yes, but can they make sharks with laser beams on their heads?

hehehe :D

porsche4life 06-15-2012 04:48 PM

Well hell yes they can....

Kinda tricky to get the batteries big enough to power those lasers....

Noah930 06-15-2012 04:49 PM

Just how big a battery do you need? Great whites can get to be 25-35 feet long, IIRC.

porsche4life 06-15-2012 05:01 PM

I'm no expert in lasers, but I suspect it would be a one shot laser.....
