Yup.

Rick V 10-24-2012 01:09 AM

So has there been a solid interest in the shifters?

slodave 10-24-2012 01:16 AM

I see where you are going. :D

Rick V 10-24-2012 01:17 AM

No actually that was not a set up question, that one was legitimate.

slodave 10-24-2012 01:22 AM

I have not asked, Rick. Via my posting on FB and here, yes.

Henninger is the winner Dave :)

More hot weather for the next few days, then 23C or something on the weekend?
That crap will just give me a summer cold! Nature needs to get its 5hite together.

Glen, no photos?

I must say that the standard has gone down a bit guys, I see very few girlie hump day photos, what's wrong, everybody too busy working??

GH85Carrera 10-24-2012 04:23 AM

I never go looking for hot chick photos. The ones I post are just part of the collect I sift through for photos in the random photo thread.

So you have not yet seet the car in person and it has a name?

If it has spent much time in SLC it has seen snow before. Snow and cold will not hut a car. Just the salt on the road if it is driven and not cleaned up properly.

You really really need to do a road trip. It will be a blast. The tough part is timimg the trip between snow storms.

you typed blast

azzarule 10-24-2012 05:01 AM

Yes, although I have driven in snow before in Europe, I am not too comfortable with the idea at all, and in a soft top not something I like the idea of, although D says the heater works, so that's a plus!!

I did get sort of permission from the Hubby last night, he said quote "well if you want to just fly out there and drive it home, well go right ahead", but knowing you guys, that should be taken as "I don't think you should be driving across the country by yourself" hahahaha

In Oz I would not hesitate, but here, having not done the roads before, it is a bit daunting

GH85Carrera 10-24-2012 05:25 AM

It will be interstate highways virtually all the way unless you want to explore. That means divided two lane highways. Some of them will have a posted limit of 70 or 75 but almost everyone will be going 80 and it is easy to find a lonely area to do a test run up to triple digits to make sure the carbon is blown out of the engine. :)

Once you get back closer to Yankee land the speeds will drop but the first day will be some wide open country. There are gas stations for stopping all along the way.

Morning all. A lot better today. Might need to find that pot hole again.
