Most of the fuses you can buy at the local stores are the cheap POS plastic fuses. They are crap because as they get a little hot they soften up and get shorter and soon thay are not making good contact so they quit. It is hard to find the German ceramic fuses.

poop, and I had a ready supply of the good fuses back home, dont tell me I will have to buy them.

You can find the good ones at some shops. The plastic ones are super cheap and better than nothing.

currently scanning the book "How to Make an Old Porsche Fly!" It is primarily for 356's and 912. If anyone wants a copy emailed to them, to kill their download for a couple of minutes, let me know.

azzarule 04-19-2013 12:32 PM

its over 200 pages, but is quite an interesting read for the mechanically minded. Will be sending a copy to my mech back in Oz.

Jim Richards 04-19-2013 12:34 PM

I'd sure like a copy, Azzy. :)

Do you still have my email address?

azzarule 04-19-2013 01:47 PM

yep Jim still got it. Will send you a copy when I have finished editing, its a bit rough as I didn't want to cut the book up, but readable.

Jim Richards 04-19-2013 02:07 PM

Sounds good to me.

HHI944 04-19-2013 02:36 PM

just got a speeding ticket for 62 in a 45. I already have a full page of incredibly reasonable discovery that they couldn't possibly actually come up with ready to file. its amazing how fast they drop speeding ticketswhen they fail to comply with discovery and all of your discovery requests are covered by the Freedom of Information Act

I am sitting at an airport getting fat. Just ate two chocolate covered marshmallow eggs. Running the Pat Tillman Run tomorrow. Can I refer to the marshmallow eggs as "carb loading"?
