We are going down this December to finalize everything and check out the local activities.

I think I just need to rent a tank from the local shop and get her in the deep end of the pool to see what she thinks.

Holy moly! Is she crazy? What a great way to remember your wedding and start your marriage with something like that together. I could just imagine the overwhelming feeling of closeness underwater with all that massive openness around you, surrounded by all the fish and cool ocean landscape... Wow!

Oh well, try to get her in the pool before then. Hold her hand, kiss her on the forehead and be her strong man. Talk about all the amazing things you could experience together and you never know what your sweet words could convince her to do. She just needs to experience the awesomeness once. That's how I got into snowboarding, surfing, running, riding a motorcycle, etc. ;)

Let me clarify, not by a man holding my hand, by me getting a taste of the above. Holding a man's hand would just slow me down. ;)

Tweeze, it's an awesome experience to scuba dive if you haven't already. There is a local area I dive when I have a dive buddy. It's an old quarry that has been flooded. 120 feet at the deepest part and they have a bunch of boats and other things sunk down to make it interesting.
Nope.... But there's not much good diving near either place. We need to head to the tropics! ;)

There has actually been talk of a pelican love aboard dive boat for a week...

Jim Richards 05-14-2013 08:13 AM

Love aboard? Love Boat?

renting out one of those big dive boats would be really cool. I think Elicia would kill me if I spend money on that before the wedding, so I would have to put that off.

It's 11:00am and I am bored. Time to go unplug some network cables.......

azzarule 05-14-2013 12:10 PM

Afternoon all.

Done the w*** thing, now home to cook dinner.

No idea, better go look at the cupboard. Jeff the creme brule looks wonderful, mmmmmm

Jim Richards 05-14-2013 12:14 PM

I'm still at the w*** thing. My wife just arrived in SoCal for work, so I'm heating/eating leftovers the rest of the week. It's much better than getting me to actually cook something! I'd probably choose starvation over poisoning. :D :D :D

azzarule 05-14-2013 12:15 PM

Got an email back from the Grist Mill, our dinner reservation has been made, 7.30 drinks and 8.00 dinner table so far is 10-12 depending on numbers going. Will have to tell them if we expect less or more than 12.

Okay dinner

You men are so cute. At least you appreciate your wife cooking for you. Make sure you tell her that. Sometimes we let the every day nice gestures we do for each other go unnoticed. It's important to not take each other for granted.

On that note, I am heating up leftovers for me and the boys. With just the three of us, I always have leftovers. I don't know how to cook small portions. I freeze a lot as well.

Actually, when I am in a time crunch, I make breakfast for the boys for dinner. Most breakfast foods are fast and easy. Eggs, bacon, waffles, pancakes, fruit. I try to be fun mom once in a while. Once, I let the boys eat something messy (I can't remember what it was, pulled pork sandwiches?), in the bathtub (they sat in the tub with the plastic plates on the side), and they thought I was the coolest mom ever. It's the simple things. And I didn't get BBQ sauce on the floor. ;)

Cute my.....

I cook cause I'm better at it.

tweezers74 05-14-2013 01:00 PM

Speaking of food, I haven't eaten anything today. Had a cup of coffee this morning. Work has been busy. You guys are like my "smoke" break if I smoked. Work like mad... When I need a break, go read a little Pelican, post something, go back to work, repeat. Need to fill my belly!!!!

Got any of that creme brûlée left over, Jeff?

See, I need to find a man like you. To cook for me.

GH85Carrera 05-14-2013 01:23 PM

About time to heard for the house.

Gotta get away from goofy customers. Some guy came in that we have never done any work for. He wanted to know if it was possible for us to fly an entire city, (40 sq miles) and put an overlay on it with each neighborhood marked, and oh by the way he wants it by this FRIDAY!

Our pilot was already flying a job today so we can't fly it until the next clear weather day. It is supposed to be cloudy and possible thunderstorms for the next few days.

Then he tells us he was trying to get the same map from some other company but they can't do it at all. I bet his budget is 500 bucks and it needs to be 5 grand or more.

I really think he is a classic "Big hat no cattle" kind of guy. Lots of talk but no money to do anything but complain about how much good quality work costs.

I am off to go play in the garage.

I may have to fire up the garage air conditioner. It is 90 something out there.

Jim Richards 05-14-2013 01:25 PM

Get that engine and tranny finished up! :D

Are you part Swedish?

That's my excuse..:D

I get it honestly... My Gram who just passed would put on big Sunday lunch spreads.. Given all that work, she basically declared "Detante" for dinner. Being Swede descent, they put milk and cream on everything.... Growing up, we often had "breakfast" for dinner. Mom had us bamboozeled into thinking those times were special treats.;)

Good parenting right there....92% bamboozling.:D

Jim... Captain Crunch! Reminds me of a story. My dad worked at a plant next to a big Quaker Oats plant in town and I remember when King Vitamin first came out. As a promotion they gave away CASES of KV. My dad brought home two cases and it seemed to last forever...:D

I now think of King Vitamin as a "Gateway" cereal,,,hahhaha.
