OK, I thought I'd come up with something epic for my post #20,000. My plan to win the half-a-billion dollar Powerball fell just a wee bit short. :(

So, I kept thinking more about posting something of epic proportions. But, then I got to thinking...

At least it's Bill and Opus and not a jag.....................

For those that wondered about my hole digging, this is part of the result.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1369160828.jpg

This area was grass that I had to mow when we moved in. One truckload of composted horse manure and a bunch of plants and I have less to mow :D

Last year we lost a lot of plants so we have a lot of new ones. The pond in the back yard has a lot of plants as well.

The two windows are for my garage. My 911 normally sits next to the windows under the car cover inside the garage.

By the end of the summer the elephant ears will be huge. It will lok different.

Evening Y'all, Man it is humid, not hot but very sweaty.

Omg home again with a puking kid... Yet thankful, in the wake of Oklahoma, that I have puking kids to lose sleep over and clean up after.

Well I have a three day weekend heading this way and already have it planned since it has been so long since I have actually had a weekend that wasn't dictated by others.
One day, work in the yard, and make a dent in that disaster
one day complete new brakes in the Boxster, Hoses, rotors and some Hawks
one day, do not a damn thing and hope Beth will join me. Actually I think we are going to run over to W.Va, for no reason whatsoever.

It is just strange to say it is a good thing the the total dead is "just" 24. That is way better than the 51 or more reported earlier. That is still a very sad total, but anyone that has seen the devastation has to be amazed it is such a low total count. Okies are tough, and most of us are weather aware. 24 square miles of a 1000 square mile city was destroyed. We will rebuild that area again. Been there done that, gonna do it again.

Beth is watching it on the news right now, and it is amazing that the number is so low.

Wow is all I can say. I can't even imagine. I even looked online to see if I could volunteer. I always thought it would be easy to volunteer as a nurse but it is always hard to do. I tried for the tsunami, the hurricane, 9/11, etc. I have always written to Red Cross but they always have turned me down. I am willing to travel out of my own pocket. Guess I have to wait until something happens in AZ or CA. I have a license in both of those states. My heart goes out to Oklahoma. So sad. Hugs, Glen.

Evening all. Truly sad to see. Glad many more are not lost.

azzarule 05-21-2013 05:51 PM

unbelievable debris path, so "lucky" if that's the right word, that there weren't more fatalities.

Evening all

busy cleaning out one of the dell computers to send back to Oz, got one of the work ones sent over, mainly for the son to play games, super fast processor and 32G of ram, and huge video processing power, was one of the laptops I bought for the Heron guys in AFG to use for analysing the video feed from the aircraft, so pretty souped up. Should keep his games going for a while. But have to send the old dell back, and its full of 5hit. Did I tell you I hate computers!
