meee tooooo.

Afternoon y'all.

Once again I've succumbed to peer pressure and I'm stuck reading of those damned erotic romace peices of ish "novels". This is why I don't read, I have to finish the whole thing no matter how great the suckage and these books piss me off so good and end up taking it all out on the hubs.
FML..it's a good thing I'm next to blind at this point.

Jim Richards 06-26-2013 11:56 AM

I would win over peer pressure. I have no problem quitting a book that I just don't enjoy.

Next Wednesday is my Friday too. :) Lets go paddle boarding, Sidney.

And I hate romance novels... And movies. Romantic comedies I can handle. But those all out romantic movies, not so much. Hated Titanic while every other woman loved it. I loved the history stuff in it. But would have rather watched a documentary on the Titanic. Weird thing is I am a true romantic but those books and movies are just not reality.

me too but I can't stand not finishing it once I've started. I shouldn't have done it. It's so stupid and corny, unrealistic goes
W/o saying.

RKDinOKC 06-26-2013 01:41 PM

Used to drive back and forth from OKC to Atlanta to visit my brother, 900 miles. Listened to books on tape for the drive. Really like the unabridged ones, not only did they last longer for the trip the abridged books would put me to sleep.

There is a set of 3 books about a former veteran taxi cab driver in Chicago that were absolutely riveting. Found myself at the gas pump wanting it to hurry up so I could get back to the story.

There was one book that let me get 5 hours into it before revealing it was at senator's son coming out of the closet story. Nothing in the reviews or on the about stuff on the cover. I threw the tapes out the window. Felt very tricked, was billed like it was supposed to be an espionage spy thriller.

Don't like romance novels unless they at least mention heaving breasts at least once. Guess those aren't really classified as romance novels, or are they?

Jferr006 06-26-2013 01:51 PM

These are technically called erotic romance novels... Breast is not nearly descriptive enough for the imagery involved here.
It's just so.... Stupid, though.

Evening Y'all

Porsche-poor 06-26-2013 02:01 PM

You people are depressing me. I only get one day off next week.

Rick V 06-26-2013 02:02 PM

I only get one off next week

Jim Richards 06-26-2013 02:17 PM

Starting next Wednesday, I'll be working every day until our return to DC. Does that count? :D

Jim Richards 06-26-2013 02:19 PM

I want that GT3, even if I have to read an EROTIC romance novel to get it.

RKDinOKC 06-26-2013 02:28 PM

I get off all the time, just not with romance novels.
