Decided the best way to haul the new ski was on another trailer. Poor guy dropped a wheel in the ditch trying to not hit a dog and rolled it.... He replaced the steering column and was trying to fix it but gave up.... We think we can bone it out and get our money back, thus making the bigger motor for our little jet boat for free!!! |
Joe not going to hijack you surveillance thread (yet) but is it the redhead that is on her way back home?
|
Yup.....
|
Dude! You gotta man you just gotta. :)
|
with rick's help, the new front main seal is on the rover and appears to be holding oil.
thanks rick! BTW, the seal puller could really do some damage.... |
Yes it can. One of the worst things a person can do is to try and attack a mechanic while they are within arms reach of a toolbox
|
who you thinking of hurting D?
Anyone we know, or you just say'n, I generally find that tools are always capable of hurting something, either me, my car, or my wallet!!! |
I have always also found that a very big torque wrench can be very debilitating if used correctly, as a club.
Usually requires a car to have new panels, dents are too hard to fix!!! Just say',. |

thanks Rick I have sent Danny an email. Just asking for a bum pluck sort of quote and timings.
I would like a new top, boot and possibly a boot with the ability to go through to the dash, as Marilyn has the studs in the dash for the tonneau cover type thing, which might be handy, with a zip to still drive while it is covered. On sunny days I don't tend to put the top down, because I don't want her leather interior to be left in the sun all day, having a manual top makes it a bit hard to put it up by myself, |
Danny does a lot of custom work for street rods and such, so I am sure he can make whatever you want. The guy is good
|
Okay, what is Bum Plucking, and is it so expensive you need to get a quote first?
|
The still nameless kitty likes F1...

i did yell at some guys that were going about 50 down my 25mph street. my neighbor was chatting with me. they slowed like they were going to come back, but we stepped into the street. i was holding a 2ft breaker bar. they continued on their way. i am pretty sick of people flooring it down our street. it is two blocks long and is not a through street, so its not like they are using our street to get somewhere important.

So, the damn LR 2 has about 6 -7 degrees negative camber on the left rear tire....should I be concerned?
|
You'll be okay Joe, it's just corner really good to the right
|
OK....this computer is starting to pi$$ me off.
Google chrome works fine except on Pelican. Works for a while then it will time out waiting for the next page to load. Click 6,7,8 times and then it will load. So I've been using IE for Pelican and now sometimes after reading a thread I can't go back. Hit the backspace bar....nothing. Click on the back arrow (top left).....nothing. Right click on the back arrow and it shows..... ad.doubleclick.net/adi/N8667.287 multiple times ( the drop down is ALL doubleclick with no Pelican address at all). Can't go back.... so I have to click on the "new posts" button to get back. Any ideas? |
