Caught some fish! Haven't done any eating yet. ;)

Well Striped Fish anyways

Nice work! I'm hoping for some river bass or perch this weekend. We are off on a gem fossicking trip and a bit of fly fishing in the highlands.
With my luck I'll probably get carp, if anything...

Why Tucson and not Phoenix? I would think there would be more jobs in PHX...

You know the saying... A bad day fishing always beats a good day working... ;)

Its just fun to go out and wet a line. Hang out with your buddies and have a beer or two and just relax. Even better when the fishies are biting! That is the downside to work trips, for me at least. We take customers fishing, so I'm in entertain customers mode and don't get to relax as much. Luckily the guide we pay is awesome, and we don't even have to bait our hooks or take fish off, so our customers can just sit back and drink beer and reel in big fish. :D

Interesting Jim. I have a guy coming out at noon to look at my place, I have a sort of interview tonight at a local college bar about a bouncing position. I am going to spend some time doing some more research in Tucson, we found a couple of places that fit our bill that we really like in the burbs, and I am going to be making a few calls on jobs out there.
Beth and I found a place for 40k, sitting on 3.5 acres in a little community about fifteen mins west of the city.
Oh and I am going to light a fire under the guys ass here to give me the details of the ATV job. He said he wants to hire me, it's all about getting the boss to come up with an offer. I don't like to wait!

Jim Richards 10-04-2013 03:24 AM

Lots of possibilities. I hope at the end of the day you can say it wasn't interesting good, it was interesting great!

Rick V 10-04-2013 03:27 AM

The thing that really bothers me, before the economy collapsed a few years back I could have written a check for a place out there. I'm just glad I sold my rental when I did and payed off all of my bills when I did.

Demographics. Phx is a real city where people live year round and it is way too big for me. The more people the more trash.
Tucson is a slower pace place, with a very strong desire to stay cultural, artsy, and is perfectly happy being a snow bird destination. With snowbirds come high end cars, an thriving biz that slows down during the summer. Remember Sid, I don't make a living working on Chebby's. I am looking to slow down and Phx is not the place to do it.
Rick Lee told me to forget Tucson and move to Phx because they needed more conservatives up there. :)

Morning Rick.

I've been measuring up the en-suite for a renovation. Currently hunting for some free bathroom design software. I'm having a look a google sketchup to see if it'll do the job. Anyone hunted for this sort of software before? Recommendations?

Rick V 10-04-2013 03:44 AM

Evening Jeff.
For things like that I just use the palate of my mind. (scary huh?)

But what about all those snowy and icy days in the winter?

GH85Carrera 10-04-2013 04:26 AM

Rick, some items you can leave behind is your snow shovel and snow blower.

One of my friends said they would drive around with their old snow blower in the pickup. When people asked "what is that?" they knew they were far enough south.

Good Friday morning folks.
