It is entertaining to go fast through a corner and have the big black man in the passenger seat gasp and then say, "You didn't scare me," in a little higher than normal voice.

Still paging Richard...

My email linked here doesn't work. ;) Got it. Delete if you want.

Argh!!! Rick, when are you going to get to AZ? I'm pulling my hair out trying to get the bug brake lights working. Need to go but more fuses, popped all of mine today... ;)

Jim Richards 03-23-2014 04:19 AM

Sid, do you have a multimeter or ohmmeter?

Rick V 03-23-2014 04:53 AM

Morning Y'all
Sid I will be there as fast as I can. If you are smoking fuses you have a short to ground. Un hook all the components in the system and check each section for a short to ground. If the wires are good then it has to be in a fixture. It could be as simple as a bulb. I would suspect the delightful rear sockets, if you can call them that. Make sure to disconnect the turn signal switch as well and the front light fixtures. Remember the brakes are part of the signals and that includes the fronts and hazzards.
D most of the AR's I see in this neck of the woods are chambered for .223, that is why they are on the shelf, just sayin.

Fun fun fun
My daughter crashed the wifi driver on my linux unit while I was doing a system restore on Beth's windows 7 rig. My brain can't handle two different operating systems at the same time.
(as I type on my Vista unit)

RKDinOKC 03-23-2014 07:41 AM

How do you crash a wifi driver, throw the laptop into a wall?

HHI944 03-23-2014 07:57 AM

Trying to make the old HP unit faster I reckon.

RKDinOKC 03-23-2014 08:33 AM

The car's name is Fred.

HHI944 03-23-2014 08:59 AM

There are two of these cars in my neighborhood....This one and a red one....any guesses?

After doing my series rovers wheels in plastidip, I decided the disco might look nice with black wheels as wellhttp://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps5h4wc7ff.jpg

That is sharp!

I'm thinking about doing the OZs on the Lotus in one of their wheel specific colors, likely the anthracite grey

Yes, and I've tested the switches. They check out.

The switches are good, the wires are new and connected right. I'm trying to chase down how the switches should be wired. Being a 69 it has wiring for 3 2-prong switches, but the MC has been swapped to a newer 2 switch cylinder. So it should have 3prong switches but doesn't. I'm not using the brake warning light though so I should be able to leave those unhooked and covered. I read on the samba to check the wires with an ohm meter and find the pairs that are complete circuits. I did that, but when you press the pedal with them hooked like that, no juice goes through the wire that goes to the back of the car. the 2 prongs on one of the switches have constant power coming to them however? When I swap them to how I think they should be based off the diagram, they pop the fuse as soon as you press on the pedal. I'll pull the fixtures out and check them again.

Sorry, but grew up in the 60's and 70's where there were hub caps. alloy wheels, or trucks with wheels painted white. Vehicles with black wheels just look like they lost their hub caps to me.

Obligatory Dream Wheels photoshop...
