Morning.
Nights are getting into the low teens this week, that like 50 something Fahrenheit. It's gettin a little nippley in the mornings. It may be the last week of wearing shorts to work for a couple of months. Gunna have to find where I stashed my jeans soon. Anyway, last day of the week before the Easter break. This year it flows into ANZAC day - three days leave gets me a ten day break. Going camping tomorrow. |
Bugger Me! We almost got bumped to page two
|
It's vewy vewy quiet. Someone must be hunting Wabbit.
|
Well I survived the trip to and from Joisey, or at least I think I did, I feel jet lagged and hung over. I can't wait to do it all again next week. fook me.
I will tell you for 100% certainty that a prius will not only go over 100mph but will maintain it with very little trouble, that being said six hours in one will kill ya. I came back non stop, well except for 495 at rush hour, I did a lot of stopping |
We're pretty much ready to go camping in the morning. The fur kid spent most of the arvo/ evening sitting on his pillow inside the cruiser. Now he's following us around to make sure we don't go without him.

Have fun, Jeff. SmileWavy

Cheers Jim, should do. Travelling about 150km north west, parking my bum and cracking a beer. Following it up with a few more. May even get excited and swing an axe at some logs. :)
Retuning to town on Monday to watch some football on the telly. Gunna enjoy a long weekend doing bugger all. ;) |
You're a wiser man than me, Jeff. Most of my vacation time is spent remodeling our house.

Interesting day today.
A client called and needs high resolution images of two square miles of a little city surrounded by OKC from the 1970s. We have the archive negatives from 1974 & 1979. Images that our company shot and is not available anywhere from any other source on earth. The kicker is they have a court date tomorrow. So I interrupt my nap time and whip out the job for them. The cool part is the house we lived in in 1966 and the Jr. high School I went to is in the images. I remember that school was two miles away and up some steep hills each way. The image shows it as just 3/4 of a mile from my house. At the same time a business that does some work for us needs up to print some huge pictures for him. They are portraits that are 60x72. The kicker there is it that it is for a wedding! His client did not blink when she was told how much money a 5x6 ft print costs. The good news is she wants 6 of them! She is spending more for the pictures than we spent on our wedding. It must be nice to be stupid RICH. |
At least they are willing to spend it. The Founder of Kimray was so tight he would try to split a senior plate at the local cafeteria. Multi-milionaire and wouldn't spend a dime unless absolutely necessary. Was working with him one time and his faucet was dripping. Instead of making a quick trip to the nearby hardware store and picking up a 25 cent washer and have it fixed in 20 minutes max., we had to rummage through his shop, find some suitable rubber and make a washer. Took over an hour. He was so afraid that his money would be spent unwisely that when he died he ended up leaving the burden of being involved in managing a huge trust to his kids but they can't access or spend a penny of it.

Heeeeeeeeeey I'm waulkin' heeeereee.
What a crappy day. Time to close out the world and pretend it didn't happen |
Just one more day of work for most folks.
I was told that we are closed tomorrow for good Friday. That will be GREAT Friday. I get an early start on the weekend. I guess I will mow the yard and play in the garage all day. Mrs Carrera has to work so it is toga party time here tomorrow. |
Stair diving into a kiddy pool of beer?
|
The only thing good about Friday is the Saturday and Sunday that follows it.
