Morning G... Its my bedtime... Just finished some Chem HW...
So guys I assume you have seen Trekkors post looking for LeMons drivers? I really want to... Should I? With the gear and plane ticket and incidentals it would be around $2,000 and thats for a very short trip... Lots of wheel time tho.... |
Night Sid,
haven't read Trekkors post yet, too busy, I really need some more time to read and reply to posts, but i can't. ah well |

We have been discussing it... He would handle getting me to and from the airport... |
Morning, guys!
I canīt believe its already Thursday. The weeks pass so fast its uncanny. I suppose I am getting old. |
that lemons thing looks like fun but 800 bucks does get some things done on the 924, that's true also.
Whatever you choose, no need to feel sorry for not doing the other. Marcus, you're getting old but you're still very pretty... Hmmm, this might be a good start for those lyrics I promised you a while back... I might be getting old but I'm still so pretty... (thought process set in motion...) |
Sounds like a true fluffer song. Brilliant, G!

Difficult situation, hopefully it works out for everyone. |
Rick, I feel for ya. I know a few guys that went through the process.
Sid, you might want to point out to Trekkor that you are not yet 21. I remember when I was 19 and bought a car. I HAD to have my mom as a part owner to be legal. Back in the stone ages one could not own a car until you were 21. If you can fill out all the waivers before you leave you might do it with both parents signing the forms. I remember one business trip I took to Florida. I tried to rent a car at the airport and they would not do it because I was just 20. Before you spend the money to go out there, make SURE that a 19 year old is legal to drive in the race. Get a copy of the waiver and read it. |
I've read the rules glen... Have to be 18 with a valid US drivers license. My age is not a problem. I'm just not sure about spending the money. Trekkor knows how old I am.
|
I am not slamming you for your age. I just remember having to take a taxi when they would not let me rent a car when I was just 20. I didn't want you to get out there and find out you can't participate.
|
Ya. We've already checked on that particular issue. I will have to pay 50 extra since I do not hold a competition license
|
Sid, you need to find some $ponsor$.
|
Will the WBR sponsor me?
|
War Bonnet is non-profit, you sponsor it.
|
We sponsored a tball team... Why not a racecar?
And who wouldn't want their name on an escort known as "Filthy"? |
Let's see, a Porsche club sponsoring a FORD Escort (non-Porsche) Lemons race car...versus helping buy a few t-shirts for a t-ball team that could some day be Porsche owners. Maybe if the Lemons car were a Porsche and club members could take turns driving. Team WarBonnet and paint the car in indian war paint with feathers.
|
It was a joke Richard... I opted out anyways... thats a lot of money towards my car and a new spoon...

Morning dudes!
FRIDAY!! Wheeeeee FRIDAY!! Wheeeeee FRIDAY!! Wheeeeee FRIDAY!! Wheeeeee FRIDAY!! Wheeeeee FRIDAY!! Wheeeeee FRIDAY!! Wheeeeee Tomorrow I'll have my refurbished Fuchs 7 and 9 back!! (black centers, polished lip) Can't wait to see them, this guy had them for more than a year, no shidt! It's a real pain getting him to work on schedule. No wait, correction, it is friggin' IMPOSSIBLE! Last week I called him and told him I'll be coming to get my wheels in the condition that they were and that I would have them refurbished elsewhere. He gave me a bunch of excuses, but they never ever add up to a delay of a whole year.... Thing is, he works for car dealers as well and drops the work for guys like me to get the wheels from the dealership finished first.... I gave him a choice, either give them back sans bill or finish them and give me a nice discount. He opted for door no2. (saves me the trouble of having to go elsewhere....) TGIF guys!! |
We will need pictures of what was behind door #2.
|
Sure thing!
The last set that he refurbished was absolutely perfect, full bling! that set took him little over six months... |
