So guys I assume you have seen Trekkors post looking for LeMons drivers? I really want to... Should I? With the gear and plane ticket and incidentals it would be around $2,000 and thats for a very short trip... Lots of wheel time tho....

Sid, you might want to point out to Trekkor that you are not yet 21. I remember when I was 19 and bought a car. I HAD to have my mom as a part owner to be legal. Back in the stone ages one could not own a car until you were 21. If you can fill out all the waivers before you leave you might do it with both parents signing the forms.

I remember one business trip I took to Florida. I tried to rent a car at the airport and they would not do it because I was just 20. Before you spend the money to go out there, make SURE that a 19 year old is legal to drive in the race. Get a copy of the waiver and read it.

I've read the rules glen... Have to be 18 with a valid US drivers license. My age is not a problem. I'm just not sure about spending the money. Trekkor knows how old I am.

I am not slamming you for your age. I just remember having to take a taxi when they would not let me rent a car when I was just 20. I didn't want you to get out there and find out you can't participate.

Ya. We've already checked on that particular issue. I will have to pay 50 extra since I do not hold a competition license

It's a real pain getting him to work on schedule.
No wait, correction, it is friggin' IMPOSSIBLE!
Last week I called him and told him I'll be coming to get my wheels in the condition that they were and that I would have them refurbished elsewhere.
He gave me a bunch of excuses, but they never ever add up to a delay of a whole year....
Thing is, he works for car dealers as well and drops the work for guys like me to get the wheels from the dealership finished first....
I gave him a choice, either give them back sans bill or finish them and give me a nice discount.
He opted for door no2. (saves me the trouble of having to go elsewhere....)
