Yep. almost every neighbor kid that has mowed my yard since I moved here has been stupid.

Told them they needed to walk my yard and pick up sticks and look for stuff in my yard because my dog leaves stuff out. They said okay then proceeded to mow without even looking at the yard. They killed a fairly big chew toy, 3 rawhide chews, and hit and chopped up a 15 foot red leash TWICE, not to mention notching the heck out of their mower blade on all the cotton wood sticks.

The next time they mowed they hit the remnants of the leash two more times and you could hear the mower hitting more cotton wood sticks. Cottonwood trees shed sticks, you HAVE to pick them up or your mower blade is toast.

Ignorant is when you have never been exposed to knowledge so you just don't know. Stupid doesn't learn.

There was one HS age girl that was pretty smart. She managed a group of 6 younger neighbor boys that did all the work while she directed them. When they showed up a couple of boys would start edging and the rest would walk the yard picking up sticks, hoses, dog toys. Then they would start mowing and would follow the edgers around so the mower would sweep the sidewalks, drive, and curbs. In 5 minutes they would all be pushing a mower. It only took them about 10 minutes to knock out my whole yard. Sadly after she went to college none of the boys stepped up and took her place, they just stopped mowing.

Welcome home SmileWavy

I got a numb face - another amalgam filling failed after 40something years. :(

They just don't make heavy metals like they used to.

Hola, y'all. What happened to the weekend? I was really getting used to it.

GH85Carrera 07-21-2014 03:59 AM

Good Monday morning folks.

I just want to retire earlier than my last boss. He took early retirement at age 92. So if I can retire by 90 I will have him beat. :p

Porsche-poor 07-21-2014 05:26 AM

Morning all. Back to it. I don't even want to think about when I can retire.

I need a couple other gauges as well and this speedo has never worked properly with the hall effect sensor. I would have to reset it a couple time per year or it would start reading 50mph higher than the correct speed. I could call around but I don't think a rebuild will be all that cost effective. This car has gremlins with gauges. I replaced the electrical water temp when it went bad reading 30* high when you turned the lights on to a pure mechanical one that worked great for a month and it now reads 230* when two separate thermometers read 195* where the sending unit is. The tach and clock are the only reliable gauges from the set that came with the kit.

I was looking at a whole set, but this one has a mechanical speedo build for a Ford transmission and I am not sure how many adapters I would need to get it to work with a Mopar a833 transmission.

Finishline set

HHI944 07-21-2014 08:35 AM

I'm pretty sure hall effect sensors were invented by satan....

RKDinOKC 07-21-2014 09:16 AM

And I thought the 928 was supposed to have electrical gremlins. Friend doesn't drive his 930 because it keeps trying to set itself of fire. I think he should let it succeed and get a newer model.

GH85Carrera 07-21-2014 09:24 AM

Real 930s are going UP in value at a very rapid rate.

flipper35 07-21-2014 09:39 AM

I agree Joe.

Hey, we are going east for vacation this year. Children's Museum in Campaign IL then to the Wright Patterson AFB Museum. Then maybe to Niagara Falls. What else should we hit? Thought about hitting something in Pennsylvania between Dayton and Buffalo. Not interested in NYC really. More state parks and historical sites. Keep in mind we will need to accommodate a 4 year old boy who thinks the F-15 is our national bird and napalm is perfectly acceptable as a form of communication and a 12 year old girl who will isn't unlike Elle May Clampet except Emily thinks a dress is fine for shooting at varmints and loves music. She even plays bass guitar so I thought R&R Hall of fame?

That's hilarious! Everyone knows the national bird is the A-10!

RKDinOKC 07-21-2014 10:24 AM

I thought those ere insects and the national bird was the B1. Hmmph, what do I know.

RKDinOKC 07-21-2014 10:29 AM

Glen, it's Mike Lindsey's slant nose cab. Not quite a stock collector car.

GH85Carrera 07-21-2014 10:35 AM

Well, Mike's car is way far from stock. He has not driven the car in 10 years I bet. He has a total fudge cluster of a wiring loom of patches and hacks.

His car is still worth a lot. I never cared for slant nose 911s but his is a factory slant nose cab as I recall.
