I like iOs4 on my 3gs...

I need to stop by ATT and see if I am eligible to upgrade... The online thingy won't work for me. I suspect it is b/c my phone is added to a business plan.

Sorry G.... I was out shooting shtuff... I love the US....

I walked into WalMart tonight and bought 500rounds of 9mm. No questions asked, no ID shown... Threw a ben frank+some on the counter and left.... :D

Like the new gun?
Now you have reason to be genuinely scared everytime you do NOT have it on you...
Beware Sid, now that you own a gun, your world is automatically unsafe.
That is just the way it is.
:D:D

Never owned a gun, never ever have I felt unsafe or scared, how cool am I?
Don't get me wrong, I like a nice gun and maybe I'll own one one day, but it will not be because I feel unsafe or anything.

You do realize that this is not my first firearm? Its keeping a whole safe full company... And I really have no need to carry a pistol about 99.5% of the time...

Geronimo '74 08-05-2010 10:33 PM

I was just messing with ya, Sidney the kid ;)

RKDinOKC 08-06-2010 12:00 AM

About Sidney's age I was having bad dreams of people breaking in while I was asleep and couldn't move or wake myself up. Went out and got a 375 Desert Eagle and put a few boxes thru it. Bad Dreams changed to shooting up the one's breaking in and I sold the gun to upgrade my Hi-fi to surround sound. How's that for a segue :)

My favorite gun was a Mountain Eagle. Looked like a Desert Eagle but mostly plastic and shot 22 long. Not much knock em down fire power but very light and as accurate as my 22 rifle was.

And any burglars shall be deafened to death with loud music from then on... :)

A d-eagle in only .357....

Weak....

Now they come in.... .50!

RKDinOKC 08-06-2010 12:57 AM

Didn't have the 50 back then. As a mater of fact they only made it in black then too. 357magnum held more shots, but didn't really matter because the d-eagle grip was too big for my hands. Not very comfortable and blistered the web between my thumb and index finger. Later got a 9mm/45acp baby eagle called a Jericho. Just change clip and barrel to shoot 9mm or 45 acp. Used 9mm (cheap) for targets and kept 45 loaded for "protection".

Great movie!

livi 08-06-2010 02:55 AM

Hi, blokes!

Geronimo '74 08-06-2010 03:39 AM

back to the hit and run tactics, Marcus??

Hi yourself

GH85Carrera 08-06-2010 04:51 AM

So that dude in the movie is blasting away with one hand with a 50 cal. And then he asks questions and can hear the answers?
I was at the range punching holes in paper & I of course had full hearing protection. I was shooting a 357 and all of a sudden from several stalls away the entire building would rumble. I stopped shooting long enough to see what was so noisy. It was a guy shooting a 50 cal Desert Eagle. He had both hands on it and you could see both arms compress every time he fired. With headphones on it was loud from 20 feet away.

And I am supposed to believe that dude in the movie is shooting one with one hand, and can hear after several shots?

I guess it is 100% more real than the crouching tiger flying dragon crap where people can fly because they know martial arts.

I prefer realistic movies like Blazing Saddles!

Geronimo '74 08-06-2010 05:10 AM

Snatch is a pretty good movie, Glen.
Good humour
Guy Ritchie is one of my favourite directors.

porsche4life 08-06-2010 05:11 AM

Glen puts too much thought into this....

And having shot large caliber handguns.... I will never own a .50... I don't need to compensate for anything....

Geronimo '74 08-06-2010 05:17 AM

I want a 50 cal, 'cause you can't be shooting your big gun all the time....
(Although I'm very fond of my pump action shooter...)
:D:D:D

It may well be a great movie. That scene is just bogus. I understand movies are not real. TV is even worse. Have you ever seen a computer expert on a TV show that uses a mouse, or that has to stop and use the backspace key? They all just bang on the keyboard like mad and somehow the blurry photo can be enhanced to the point where you can read the license tag on a car across the street in the shadows from the reflection on the glasses of the person in the picture.

I like movies like James Bond, you know going in that James can and will save the world and get the girl in the end. So what if he has gadgets that defy the laws of physics.

RKDinOKC 08-06-2010 12:40 PM

Well, he did have to use both hands to finally shut that one guy up.

You mean there is NOT a Lotus that can fly around under water like a submarine then just drive up on the beach? Nooooooo. Just don't tell me "There is no spoon."

porsche4life 08-06-2010 08:08 PM

Well boys.... Sent 90 more down the barrel of my new spoon... I still love it...

HHI944 08-06-2010 09:31 PM

Sweet! The 'replica' in that clip is an H&K P9S!!
Speaking of spoons, just ordered a peep sight for my '94. She shoots like a dream with Hornady Leverevolution rounds, dead on at 200yds.
